>3200 pounds>1.3 liter 3 cylinder engineare these basically disposable @ 100k miles?
Every new car is really
>>28988122aren't most european cars configured like that.
You can't get people to swtich to e-shits when you have great engines in the program.Gradually offer only shitty embarrassments to wean them off and at some point people will rather drive e than having to deal with overcomplicated choking castrated glass engines
>>28988131they are trying to hit fuel economy numbers in a crossover package without hybridization.
>>28988130Yeah but Europeans drive extremely slow and they don't cover near the same distances that the average American drives.
>>28988122It's designed to make 100k miles.
They're turbo and they make good power. And it's not 1992, if you drive it like how it's designed for and maintain it properly it will last a long time.I legitimately have empathy for wrenchlets, though. I can't imagine spending this much money on some shit I have no idea how to fix or take care of and that has 50 random things to break.
>GM shitboxes>not disposablelol lmaoWhere are all the Equinoxes and Traxes from five years ago now?
>>28988122My mom looked at buying one used was 3 years old had 75,000kms iirc and they said take the keys for weekend. She liked the low down torque of the turbo but it pissed oil all over her driveway, I went to look at it and the engine vibrates and sounds like a sewing machine, dealer had already resealed the oil pan to try and stop the leaks but obviously there was a shit ton more. Ofc she did not buy it and got a japanese NA car because I'm a good son
If it were up to /o/ no one would buy a car unless it was made in 1995. Don't listen to anything this retard board has to say just go look at consumer reports or some shit.
>>28988122Yes. heavy weight car with small displacement turbocharged engine>more stress for the tiny engine having work harder to move the car. Oil gets cooked to sludge by the turbo.https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ScZml33nZH0
>>28988539>t. sad driver of a Trax
>>28988529There's a particular flavor of GM mediocrity that makes them good and the new stuff is not that. An old GM used to run poorly forever. A new GM catastrophically fails when it starts running poorly.
>>28988539>If it were up to /o/ no one would buy a car unless it was made in 1995.My window is between 2010-2018. It's highly conditional on the vehicle platform though. It's modern enough where a lot of the nice things are there, but not new enough where there are very expensive electronics or powertrain liabilities for long-term ownership, and also no cellular telemetry liabilities that is too integrated into the car.
>>28988492One funny think about that is that kei engines are designed for a life of 250,000km which is about 150,000miles
>>28988124This, whole thing is plastic on maccas with a slushie
