I see alot of used Lincoln Continental and MKZ with low mileage and 3 prior owners. Are they unreliable? Should I get one that's 5-10 years old and has less than 100k miles?
>>28989429the MKZ with the AWD and TTV6 is a sleeperunfortunately the power transfer units in the AWDs have issues and they are more expensive to repair and maintain
Junk
>>28989429The Continental has issues with the water pump and it's inside the engine for some reason. The MKZ had two really fantastic engine options in the 2.0 and the hybrid. The hybrid is safer on a higher mileage used one but the 2.0 is still really really good and regularly get up into the upper 100ks.
>>28989595Are you saying that the 3.0L engines SHIT THE BED after 100k miles?
>>28989602What? No, don't be ridiculous. It shits in the garage.
>>28989602I mean water pumps are ymmv type shit. But they will all fail eventually and when this one does it's very very expensive to repair
>>28989429The 3.0tt MKZ is a surprisingly great car. I've had one for 9 years, with no problems. Just make sure you change the oil pretty often, the turbos are finicky.
>>28989429Trannyverse V6 TT AWD cars are some of the hardest vehicles to work on so have fun WHEN those turbo-manifolds fail.
