Imo the ultra thick carhartt heavyweight hoodies and sweatpants are just as good as the typical dirty unwashable romper suit Riders usually wear. To me wearing thick sweats in the summer feels much cooler and cleaner feeling than sweating into a hot greasy biker suit. I am a skateboarder so i know how protective carhartt hwt sweats are. I havent even put a single hole or scrape on the carhartt sweats i wear skateboarding and i fall alot. I know how to roll with the flow and for that type of fall or crash-the sweats are very protective... it would take at least a few seconds to wear/rip a hole in carhartt heavyweight sweats if you were tumbling or sliding on pavement. The only bad part about the sweat pants is they are loose around the waist and i needed to threat an elastic drawstring through the belt area so now they are stretchable and very comfy compared to the inelastic drawstring they come with. And NO im not trying to sell you carhartt shit. My motivation is that i want ppl to try out riding motorcycles in thick sweatshirts and sweatpants bc i think they are just as good or better than the typical stiff greasy unwashable leather suits alot of bikers spend thousands of dollars on. Maybe project farm guy will do an abrasion resistance test. As for now i havent eaten shit on my adv bike yet but my exp with skateboard falls wearing thick as shit carhartt hwt sweats tells me that under 60 mph carhartts will be tough enough to save me from major road rash.
>>28989923Cotton kills retard. Have fun when your "heavyweight" hoodie pulverizes instantly at 50mph.
>>28989929I don't think cotton vs polyester vs leather vs nylon is going to make a difference when his ribcage and skull get crushed by the bullbars of a xannied up latina's lifted f250
>>28989931If you're going into riding with such a defeatist mindset it's best to stick to the cage or your bus pass. Riding a motorcycle is an inherent risk but this can be greatly mitigated with proper gear/defensive riding. Also not trying be too much of a dick, but motorcycle gear isn't even that uncomfortable? I'd wager it either isn't broken in enough or you're on the larger side.

>>28989931Very creative mind sir
>>28989940Bro you need to take a chill pill. In some locations around the world its almost as safe to drive a moto as it is to drive a car. I dont commute on my bike so im not exposed to the inherent danger with motorcycles which is other ppl in their cars not seeing you..if you remove that danger and find empty roads a moto is just as safe
>>28989923While I know you're trolling, this bit got me good.>I havent even put a single hole or scrape on the carhartt sweats i wear skateboarding and i fall alot.Kek. After you go for a slide at 60MPH, let me know how your framer pajamas held up, and enjoy the skin grafts.
Imagine being such a larping redditor that you fall on a motorcycle
>>28989923>Carhartt is as tough as kevlar>Also it's impact rated because I think it's softAerostitch is what real riders wear my son. We wear it because it's a jumpsuit you can throw on over streets and without removing shoes. It's made of heavy duty material that is better and skid proof and comes with pad pockets and lots of zippers for opening vents/adjusting. Your squid suit is fun for summer, but I ride all 12 months and of those months about 7 will have rain fall. On top of that I can hit elevation and do 10-20 degree temp drops. Also just so you know KE=1/2 * m * v^2That means that speed is exponentially more important to understanding the damage things can do to you. Your skateboard has a top speed at generously 15MPH, 60MPH=x4, x4^2, = 16 times more energy at a conservative estimate. Your Carhartt will not survive that
didnt read ride in crocs, shorts and teesIf I wanted safe or comfort I get in the truck
