40k ford interior
>well gee maybe its new
no the design is 10 years old as is the interior
>maybe the engine is new
well, you can get a turbo, but it ain't new
>but its a pickup
congrats you got scammed because you fell for a cutesy shape and a promise of macho shine
>>
wait im wrong nearly 50k!

To that we added Equipment Group 702A, a spendy, $5,495 grab bag of an option package including luxury features such as an acoustically insulted windshield and a premium Bang & Olufsen sound system, interior upgrades like heated front seats and steering wheel, rear USB ports, and dual-zone climate control, plus work-focused upgrades like a spray-in bedliner, LED bed lighting, and Ford’s Pro Trailer Backup and Hitch Assist systems. We also opted for Space White Metallic paint (which is gratis), an illuminated Ford badge ($510), rollup tonneau cover ($1,280), and a handful of other small odds and ends like a full-size spare and tailgate lock. The total out-the-door price for our Maverick Lobo is $46,980.

I hate the Maverick. I hate how lazy it is. I hate how people glaze it. It's a piece of shit. Ford put barely any effort in.

It's literally just the surrogate for the Focus/Escort/Aspire in Ford's lineup as they don't believe Americans actually want their sedans or hatchbacks anymore. It's the cheapest Ford you can actually buy.
>inb4 you can't get it for muh MSRP
If you can't get a Maverick for $26k then you can't get an Escape for $28k, blame dealers for never carrying base models (you WILL pay the $50k average new car price through adjustments + packages you don't want and you WILL like it, goy).
>>
>>28991614
they don't want hatchbacks or wagons that are shitty and ford won't make something nice

Ok, why are you indignant that desirable features cost additional money? If it's too much for you, get the base model like the poorfag you are.

New cars are a ripoff after Covid. Buy used.

>>
>>28992088
yes, this exactly
well, and they need to use nicer interior materials, the interior is pretty sparse and cheap
>>
>>28992103
Just need the Maverick King Ranch that costs $110k.

Parts bin shitboxes are great. Things are already too fucking expensive.
>>
>>28992103
The interior is cheap? On a economy car? What the fuck? You mean a 28k car doesn't come with a Bentley interior? Unforgivable
>>
>>28992231
>economy car
>47 k
no, the 47k version still has a shitty interior
>>
>>28992375
It has the bones of a shitbox. If you're spending that kind of money why not just buy a better Ford truck? It's like complaining that there's no luxury Ford Tempo.
>>
>>28992383
>better
ford escape/focus bones are 2017
ranger bones date to 2011
trugg is even worse

granted, I have a dirt road, I'll take the ranger, but not fun on a highway I bet
>>
>>28992375
Wtf you mean a trim level of a car is still the same car? I thought it I spent $120k on a GT500 they would give me a rolls Royce interior your telling me it's still a 35k mustang interior? Well at least i can rest assured that when i buy my 350k gt3rs i know it won't have the same interior as a base 80k 911

some cars use nicer interior materials for higher trims
nobody says rolls royce, just nicer than worst quality possible and designed in 2015
>>
>>28992574
The difference between a XLT and a Lariat is only 6k. How much of a nicer interior are you expecting for 6k?
>>
>>28992579
Anon, the interior is terrible at every price it is offered at. They made a shitty pickup and you glaze it cuz you are somehow brainwashed by them. They were ultra-lazy in designing the interior, did the bare minimum, used the cheapest materials, even Chevys are nicer.

And why should they care? Idiots like you will still buy it. And they make more money with ultra-cheap interiors. Win-win for them.
>>
>>28992583
>the interior is terrible at every price
Brother. Listen to me. It's a cheap car. It has a cheap car interior.
>even Chevys are nicer.
Not the cheap ones. Look at the interior of a Trax. They use the same cheap cloth seats and the same hard plastic buttons.
>>
>>28992598
competing cars at similar prices have far nicer interiors
ford and toyota are the worst
trax is a class smaller and cheaper
>>
>>28992583
>They made a shitty pickup and you glaze it cuz you are somehow brainwashed by them
The glaze is deserved though BECAUSE it's a shitty pickup. It's got a bed and you can tow up to 4k for under 30k. That's awesome. If I wanted a nice interior I'd get an Accord or a Sonata but I want a bed and AWD and I want to tow a little and I don't want to spend $45k on a Ridgeline or a Ranger
>>
>>28992627
>under 30k
most don't sell for that price, used pickups for 30k abound and you can get much nicer interiors

it doesn't magically tow any more than a compact crossover
>>
>>28992657
>it doesn't magically tow any more than a compact crossover
Feel free to list which crossovers that start under 30k can tow 4k lbs. I'll even give you a 5k buffer on the price since technically you do need to option the package and awd on the maverick.
>>
>>28992701
1. to get the optional 4k tow package you are paying way more than 30k
2. most mavericks sold are not under 30k
3. most people are not towing that much anyways and could just buy a used midsize pickup if they needed to
>I'll even give you a 5k buffer on the price since technically you do need to option the package and awd on the maverick.
sigh

Also, Rav4 can tow 3500 lbs without any option packages except AWD
Jeep Cherokee can tow 4500 lbs though maybe not with the new 1.6 engine not sure about that, definitely once they replace it with the hurricane engine

The interior looks great. It looks like a hansome square truck dash but without the power wheels for adults styling of nutrucks.

I don't care what """most people""" do. I care what I do.

>Rav4 can tow 3500 lbs without any option packages except AWD
Yes and that AWD Rav4 SE is $3k more expensive and guess what, you still get a really shitty interior. Wasn't that the original hill you were trying to die on, that other cars for the same price have better interiors?
>>
>>28992804
Rav4 (new) interior is nicer than Maverick
toyota interiors are trash, don't get me wrong, but still better than ford
>>
>>28992827
Yeah it's almost like cars have to be made in such a way that they balance performance, quality, and budget. If budget is fixed, then in order for one of the other factors to go up, the other one must go down.
>>
>>28992849
or, they are ripping people off to make extortionate profits and the cars are extremely low quality, inside and out, which is why all you have is
>muh less than 30k
>muh pickup bed
>muh towing capacity
because how it handles and drives is awful
>>
>>28992911
Yeah, that's how it works. You're not getting luxury car interior with sportscar handling and pickup truck utility for 30k. You could get something with a nicer interior but you're either paying more or losing utility.
>>
>>28992391
Old isn't necessarily bad. Last gen 4Runner ran for a long, long fucking time and was just fine, if you consider its purpose. I'd argue having something that's basically a known quantity and not going to have retarded engine metal shaving recalls is a Good Thing. My sister has a Santa Fe lease and that thing is 'decked out' but nothing makes sense and it has a totally overengineered Korean bullshit interior.
>>
>>28992985
>luxury
there's something in between ford and luxury

>>28992997
yes it is
>it still runs
not well
>>
>>28993004
You'd literally be fine with a last gen 4Runner. They aren't fast or 'modern' but they are bulletproof. The Maverick isn't even in the same league as a used 4Runner, and you see that with pricing.

If you want a luxurious, fast or sharp handling car you're in the totally wrong category.
>>
>>28993016
they drive like shit and lack many modern features
>>
>>28993017
Sure, I agree. Who cares? It's a truck. If you want a sports car, buy a sports car. Modern features? Need your Ford Edge™ McDonalds ads, please insert circumcised foreskin to drive, goy.
>>
>>28993004
>there's something in between ford and luxury
Not with a bed there isn't.
>>
>>28992103
Shut the fuck up, dipshit.
You want single-year components because they need to be "updated" constantly?
What are nicer materials? Burlwood and Brass?

Nothing stops you from grabbing your bedazzler and being as creative as you like. Why is it on the onus of some manufacturer to decorate your automobile?
