What do you think of the NEW open source, modern, cheap, AMERICAN truck's design?
>>
Here's a design idea. Maybe we should put a fork like device in the front so we can lift things up
>>
>>28992149
>impeccable visibility
>ultra lightweight
>center steering
>low center of gravity
honestly kinda fuck with that
>>
>>28992149
so, a kei truck?
>>
Arial atom but for trucks
>>
throw a F4 in there and I'm set
>>
Give it a real engine and I'd drive it.
>>
>>28992149
this looks like something that would be used on an aircraft carrier
>>
>>28992149
It's just a golf cart with a longer bed.
>>
whatever happened to that gay basic small truck they were coming out with that all the fags were lusting over

there should be a standard mount for utility implements on trucks like they have for tractors
snow plows, forks, idk probably some other stuff
>>
Shit like this pretty much already exists.

>5 speed manual
>gas or diesel
>mid engined
>rwd or 4x4
>locking rear diff
>mechanical drift stick

the glorious patriotic future of america is these things putting around disease filled shanty towns

OP's pic is what, more or less, would have been the second 'car,' the DeLorean Motor Company would have produced if they didn't run out of money.

Here's a promo film for it:

Would be smarter and simpler to license a kei truck design to build it in the USA. Trump said he wanted them built there. Why add extra steps and difficulty?
>>
>>28992149
They'll still charge $10-20k. That's basically a UTV/side by side and they charge excessively for those loud shakey unreliable pieces of shit.
>>
>>28992386
Doing it by yourself is a nightmare, you end up having to lift whatever you're trying to connect to with logs or stones or whatever, or leverage an ice breaker against a tree. Holy fuck I hate that shit.
>>
>>28993396
Oh yeah, I love spending 10-20 minutes getting on and off my tractor while trying to align the holes and wham the pins in with a mallet. What fun.

One of these tiny shitboxes with a practical engine that isn't a 50HP 660cc motorcycle engine is all I could ever want. Will probably never happen unless the backwards nigger EPA requirements are finally done away with.

Only Japanese examples have the 660cc engine. Most other markets get a 1200-1500cc four cylinder engine. My Australian delivery Suzuki truck has a 1300cc, which works fine.
>>
>>28992369
Trump killed the EV incentive so then the thing ended up costing more than a Maverick despite being a barebones piece of shit.

>yeah, let me pay more money for this truck that doesn't have AC and can't tow as much as my wife'd Rav4
>>
>>28993573
By definition a "kei" truck is limited to 660cc max.
Your chassis is not a kei chassis. It may appear similar but its nit interchangable.

The Super Carry with the 1300cc engine isn't a kei truck, but they did sell a kei Carry with a 1l engine badged as the Ford Pronto in Taiwan

Based Hayabusa swap

I didn't claim it was, but they're almost identical. I buy Japanese body and interior parts and accessories for mine.

>Hayabusa
Better off doing that to a 660cc truck. It's the G13BB so the twincam head from the Swift GTi is the hot option, but I'd be more likely to choose the B16 swap for the extra torque. Not doing anything right now as it's fine as is. If the engine dies, I'll consider my options then.
