>25>Never had a first car>Thinking of buying the BMW M2
>42>had several cars>will pay less insurance than you
>>28993056I'm around that age and own one ask me anything. Protip: get the carbon buckets
>>28993108How much you pay per month in insurance?
>>28993106Lower insurance is the only good thing about being old.
>>28993056>>28993108Is crashing into a Miata a rite of passage?
>>28993113>paid off house with garage>tasteful balding that builds character>slow, meaningful progression towards bonersIt's not all that bad
>>28993112Insurance on a car that's 100k with options? If insurance is a factor go get a civic kid. You're 25 it will start going down soon if it hasnt alreadyOr just grow a brain and lie say its a garage car you don't drive simple as
>>28993056Get a Miata, a Mustang V8, or a Camaro
>>28993127Civic Si, Jetta GLI, some bullshit like that would probably be fine for a literal new driver. Dude's never been in an accident, sure as hell going to happen, and it'll be cheaper to fix/insure a shitbox than even an old S550 mustang.
>>28993127>>28993133Unless he's retarded, he's far more likely to crash the stang. The electronic nannies will let you ace corners at like 70 while maintaining grip in the BMW
>>28993117I'm in the process of trying to buy a house. I aspire to own one before the balding gets noticable.
>>28993133>Civic Si, Jetta GLI, some bullshit like that would probably be fine for a literal new driver. If he's getting FWD he might as well just get something fully practical and forget getting anything sporty. He posted a sporty car so he got a sporty suggestion from me.
>>28993056Everyone's gonna say daddy's money (and theyre probably correct)
>>28993139I mean if it's really bad you can just buy a Corvette and wear the hat.
>>28993148Or just the usual /o/ 'thinking about buying X' thread where the person never follows through.
>>28993127no thanks I greatly prefer the Ultimate Driving Machine.
>>28993135I think the problem is just the power curve in general, like with the Mustang GT (or Camaro or whatever), once you're at 60, you're just getting started. You can get away with stuff but your reaction time is that much shorter as a consequence, i.e. let's say you're going very fast in a carpool lane, and someone just crosses the double lines at 10MPH because they're impatient and just want to get out of 405 gridlock. Way easier to be going 70-80 with a V8 and not feel the speed versus the Civic Si which will be making plenty of noise indicating that you are in VTec and you are going too fast. But yeah I dunno, I'd take the shitbox and modify it with nice coilovers and maybe swaybers and just enjoy a car that can fucking stay flat, personally.
>>28993162Oh, so you're an Arab. Well then I have another suggestion for you.
>>28993162I mean, get it, what's the worst that can happen? You make a financial mistake? I'd just read up on forums for problems, DIY maintenance discussion or videos, popular mods, so on and so forth. GLHF with buying one.

>>28993505My dad is broke. He drives a 2001 Toyota Camry.

>>28993119>>28993056>go get a civic kid.
