I believe theoretically they are going to migrate the 2 liter 4 cyl from the Jeep Grand Cherokee to the Cherokee but they rushed this new gen of cherokee to market cuz the last gen was so poor selling and uncompetitive and the engine wasn't ready to put in this many shitboxes yet
so maybe 2-3 years later
but the reviews of the 2 liter are not so great
that said, I haven't seen any complaints at all really about the hurricane 6 cyl engine
