Hello br/o/s. I'm gonna get my motorcycle license soon and I was wondering if Kawasaki Ninja 300 is a good starter bike. By law I can't get anything beyond 400cc and 35kw and Ninja seems like the most reasonable option so far. If you can recommend me something else that's in the similar price range it would be very cool of you :))))
>>28995148Don't get a brand new fully faired bike as your very first bike unless you have money to burn (since you're a europoor I'd assume you don't). You probably WILL crash or at least tip over your first bike. Better to get an already depreciated used bike. You'll probably want to get a bigger bike as soon as your restrictions are lifted anyways. R3 , Mt03 or any of the Honda 500's are great starter bikes.

>>28995148>Kawasaki Ninja 300In my city this is the default bike for beginners. Which means there's a million of them on sale as people upgrade to more powerful bikes when their licence permits them to. This means you should score a bargain on the used bike market. >>28995249>Don't get a brand new^
Yes the EX300 is a great beginners bike>ProtipBuy a set of ebay chinkshit plastics now, put them on, store the factory plastics in the closet. When you get bored and sell it, put on the original "never dropped!" plastics.Or if you decide you like it and want to keep it as a grocery getter after you get your big boy bike, put the plastics back on after you get all the novice parking lot drops out of your system.

>>28995148It's fine. It's easier to do work on a naked bike though because you don't have to pull all the fairings off to do anything. Relatively small issue, but I'm glad I bought nakeds (i just prefered the look) because it's a few years later and I would be pretty sick of pulling the fairings off by now.Crash bars can be a good idea. I tipped my bike at 30 kph once, the bars and mirror got scratched up but it took basically no damage. Also, wear earplugs. 100 kph wind noise can give you hearing damage.IMO, it's hard to go too wrong with a starter bike as long as it's quick enough (minimum 25 hp) and fairly reliable. ABS is nice to have but if you're a Euro it's probably mandatory on newish bikes anyway.
