the same happens in canada now. some provinces are just retarded but in the major ones you HAVE to go to driving school. so not only is it 800bucks or whatever but also around a year of actual classroom time. it basically filters out anyone who has literally anything better do to than getting yelled at by a jeet about proper windwashing fluid selection

it was done specifically to reduce number of cars on the road without offending the already-driving boomers. boomers die off, new license holders cant take their place on the road (until they're retirement age and havent been on a public roadway on their own vehilcle until the age of 90)

Yes, very easy. Probably too easy. Like it shouldn't be like becoming a professional racing driver, but it should be a bit more strict and difficult to filter out the massive increase of retards. It also should be a bit easier to suspend or lose your license when you fuck up, especially when you just royally fuck up so bad it's inconceivable what you were thinking. Again, not 67 in a 65 = go to jail, but if you cause a pileup, run a red and tbone someone, get a DUI, etc then yeah maybe you shouldn't be allowed to drive for a while if not ever again.
