if you got me a cheese and fries for $2.95 while calling me a faggot. then i might consider it

I know it is the furthest thing from an enthusiast vehicle you can buy, but this odyssey is the nicest car I have ever owned
>>29001266I bought a 2006 town and country limited after checking out a ton of minivans. It's the only minivan that both the second and third row stow n go. Super nice interior too.
>>29001299This one only has it for the third row but you can still lay a plywood sheet over the second row and fit it in, got a 10 5 ft kayak in there too
>>29001314>This one only has it for the third rowChrysler was dicks and patented center row stow, which is why nobody else had it. The patent for 3rd row stow was an older patent, so practically every other model minivan had it. Just be careful. That one high-schooler died stuck under a odyssey seat.
>>29001327The third row will be stowed for now. It'll be a while before I can fill the whole thing. Mainly bought it as a stuff hauler for kayaks and shit. Just been driving it a lot because the tsx clutch bearing failed
Just bought a CVT CR-Z People give this car shit but it's so much fun for a car so cheap, there's a ton of mod support too

Hondas are cheap and reliable. Yep, they NEVER break down. Heck, my 2008 400k miler civic basically runs like brand new! I got her on sale for ya if you’re interested, only $100000K because Hondas are cheap and reliable, and I know what I got. A great and reliable first car for your son! I know what I got, so don’t even try to lowball me…
Why buy a truck when an EF sedan with ratchet straps is just as good

I developed a mental illness, I can't find any other car that I like more than my FL1 and has AWD.We had some big storms last season and I didn't really have any problems, but I feel like it's only a matter of time given the amount of miles I put on snow.>Mazda3: looks too round>Lexus IS: center console looks too busy>Corolla: looks too stubby / like a toy>WRX: wheel arches look like they were glued on last minute, also why is there a 70inch tv inside the carNo Acura because Japan. The Lexus IS is the closest contender, but I really want a hatchback.
>>29008619God damn I love my little Hondas. Fuck it. Fuck AWD, fuck snow, I'll slide and push an SUV filled with an entire family off of a cliff with me all while grinning if I did it in my Civic.

>>29009221you're right but I've never had a car without power windows or locks beforealso I was looking forward to the sunroof. but I was kinda sick when I bought it two days ago so I was way out of it at any rate it's both my first manual car and a car to drive to work, fuck it
>>29009233You can still enjoy it Anon, I have the DX trim Accord from the same era, it has no power door locks either.

>>29008619I drove an "awd" yaris rental in knee deep snow in Hokkaido last winter. Honestly just about anything works as long as you do it carefully and have snow tires on. Sliding on wet/compacted snow and ice at intersections was sketchy as hell however. But I was out pretty rural with little traffic.Saw lots of people in ditches next to the road and tow trucks were doing overtime. I was surprised given that I assumed that locals would be experienced.Currently own a FL5 so I can see why you love the car. The 11th gen civic is pretty dang good.
>>29010108>in knee deep snow in Hokkaido last winteryou ski/board bro?
>>29010108I think I figured out what to do>keep Civic>trade in wife's Prius for an AWD PriusNow I don't have to worry about rust and I have AWD. >Saw lots of people in ditches next to the road and tow trucks were doing overtime. This always happens if there's a big storm specially on a weekend, when the once-a-year-family-ski-trip usually happens, and they have no idea what they're getting themselves into.Pic rel was my scariest drive. That's all ice. Area is surrounded by hot springs so the heat and steam keeps this area in a constant melt-freeze cycle.>The 11th gen civic is pretty dang good.I know this is the we love Civics circlejerk thread but as I mentioned I've been trying to find a replacement with AWD and it just doesn't exist in my head. 11th gen just ticks all of my checkboxes.

>>29020705That's a good ass deal, a running Honda in general is $3,000 at minimum, so any maintenance you had previously done is gravy on top.
>>29020737I think my 2009 Honda Fit with 125k miles is worth around 2k. Hasn’t been worth trading it in, but i will have to eventually.
>>29021006Unfortunate, I would take that 2K if you can get it, I wouldn't be surprised if a dealer offered me $1,000 for my rust free 2004 Accord, the car is worth about $150,000 to me anyway so it's not for sale.

Something like 13k so far. Finishing up final torque at ride height now and then getting an alignment. It's been fun. I love this car. Hardest part was the clutch since I did it on jack stands. In a more sane era, I would have spent a lot less but honda parts and quality aftermarket are really expensive right now.
>>29023489>Something like 13k so farBased DIY, I have more than that just catching up on maintenance via shops and my car still looks like shit.
>>29023491Ty. The economics of classic hondas are getting wild, but so is care maintenance in general. I did the "while I'm in there..." strategy. Took me months to get the spoon bushings. Missed out on a good chunk of summer but I'm almost back on the road.
>>29023498The while you're there methodology is the best way of doing it, I had my control arms pulled out and new bushings pressed in, but I'm kinda pissed at myself for not replacing the entire control arm which would've had a new ball joint on it, my dealer hasn't yapped about ball joints being worn at 185K, but I should've just bought entire control arms.
>>29023502That's what I did for my 09 camry daily. I rockauto'd all new arms with new balljoints and bushings. 185k is a lot. My s2000 has 173k miles on it, was on original bushings/balljoints. Bushings were shot, balljoints were surprisingly holding up (but may as well replace them).
>>29023510>balljoints were surprisingly holding upOEM Honda ball joints are the toughest mofos you can put on a car, I trust my 185k mile ones over brand new moog ones with the weird spline design that can eat out your steering knuckle and ruin it, and then fail and your car falls on the ground.
>>29023514I was sure to get new front lower ball joints from Honda. The rest are Hardrace-branded. Yeah the honda ball joints are absolutely fucking top-notch and if i could have bought them again, I would have. The hardrace ball joints use the same design but comes with a snap ring as well. Honda is actually insane and won't sell any bushings the s2000 unless you buy the entire control arm for 1k a piece.
>>29023489You can still buy new OEM S2000 parts? From where? If it's doable I might get a S2000 down the line.
>>29023705hondapartsnow.com formula Sevasive motorsportsscience of speedbernardi honda(your local honda dealer -- but they will rape you on price). You cannot source every piece though. Some are on indefinite back order so you may find some layover (new) stock somewhere. I can a difficult time finding the rear subframe support member and new front fender liner. End links were also difficult to get. But I was able to get them all.
>>29023924also steprise on ebay - I got OEM clutch hardware, OEM lower ball joints, and OEM motor, trans, and diff mounts from him. Very fast shipping too.
>>29023705you can even get a completely new engine from toda still
>>29023924>>29023999>>29023927Thanks, I'll take a look and see if they got simislar shops in europe. Else I'll get raped by the import fees and shipping. My biggest annoyance is that there is a Honda oem parts shop equivalent in the UK but not in Continental Europe. So we'll still get fucked tax wise.

Are there any EK headlights with black housings that don't look like shit IRL? I bought some OE style that are all chrome and they look out of place. I'm used to seeing FAs with the factory black outlined housings.

>>29026859Reliable older Japanese cars are quite nice outside of two probelms:1. Rust, which is fixable and preventable with maintenance2. Safety, if you were to be hit by some dude on his phone in their monstertruck of a SUV/truck, which may happen to you even if you drive defensively
I was driving my new to me 7th gen Civic last week when all of a sudden it died on me, I don't think it was anything to do with shifting but I lost power in 5th gear and I couldn't get the engine to start again, it kept trying to turn over and over.Any ideas what it could've been? >>29028203I don't have a garage, do outdoor car covers actually work I've heard mixed things
>>29028310It's better than nothing Anon, if you regularly wax the car as another layer of protection and keep an outdoor car cover on it, that'll save the interior and everything from being absolutely trashed and needing thousands more in repaint.
How good is this trans fluid for an auto 2009 civic? Asked one of the guys at AutoZone which transmission fluid would be best for my Honda, he recommended this one. Now I'm looking at the 'for use with certain GM vehicles', and I'm having second thoughts...
>>29028544Autozone Fluids are fine in Hondas Anon, I've run Valvoline multi vehicle ATF to flush everything out and it didn't hurt it, what would be bad for Hondas is not changing it.
>>29028548Ah, thanks. Forgot to add, it's just a little bit I'm keeping in my car for emergencies, so I'm not intending to use it all the time.
>>29028544>Trusting some dipshit at autozoneYou want the Valvoline import or multi vehicle or whatever it's called.Just turn the bottles around they list their comparable oem fluids.alternatively, go to honda.
>>29028556>>Trusting some dipshit at autozoneI did my research for power steering and motor oil, but I just bought this one on a whim to be fair.
>>29028579Lel Vatozone's oil and power steering fluid are fine too when I had leaks
>>29028585the issue isn't autozone oil the issue is that the shear and additive profile is not comparable to hondas DW-1. at minimum you should be using a multi-vehicle that lists honda, like valvoline maxlife or multi-vehicle, even if the difference is minimal why take the unnecessary risk with the already ticking time bomb of a slushbox

Are all Hondas a PITA to do oil changes on or is the B20 just a special case? I had to wrap my whole ass arm around the suspension contorting my body just to get the wrench in a position that could grab the filter since the exhaust and half shaft made it impossible to get to from underneath. Even then I was only getting 1cm of motion with the wrench. I kind of want to sell this car now just because of the motor, I don't like doing oil changes on it and the valves needing to be adjusted every 30k miles is retarded.
>>29033469The B20 must be weird because Honda 4 cylinder and even the V6 are a dream to oil change with their spin on oil filters that aren't in fucked up locations.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lY2n9gnQv1k

>>29033561Don't remind me Anon, fuck we are getting too old.
>>29034796Best thing about the 11th Gen Type R is that the front grille is actually real. Pisses me off to no end that 70% of the grille is fake on my Hybrid. That and the lack of piano gloss black in the interior which should've carried over to all the models.
>>29034810Damn I can't unsee it now when I see an 11th gen hybrid, that's a shame too because the A/C condenser could use all the airflow it fucking can on any car.
Every time I travel and have to rent a car, I miss my 2015 honda crosstour. I'm driving a base model camry and it's a piece of shit. Disposable like a new phone or something. It doesn't even have a sport mode and it has a "B" mode for some reason. What the fuck? Also android auto sucks donkey balls.
>>29035887It's the Accord effect, you get spoiled with the nice driving and feeling car and everything becomes crap
>>29035924Are nu-accords good though? I feel like everything is such dogshit and cheap
>>29035970I never been behind the wheel to really whip it around, but as far as daily drivers go, it's the most comfortable and efficient car I've been in, a 2021 Hybrid Touring with heated rear seats and everything picked me up and I was pissed I had to get out when I got there.
>>29035970>Are nu-accords good though? They're okay, but not as good as the old ones. No more V6, no more double wishbone suspension, no more manual option.
I used to live and drive in japan for 5 years 2019-2024I had a 2001 Honda stream, mainly because I had a kid but I loved that car but am not a car guy by ANY meanswhat modern honda would theoretically give me the same feel? I was thinking odyssey I love the feel of the engine roaring despite the mom van look
>>29036432Oddyseys are good vans, but the closest thing America have got to an estate car was the Acura TSX sportwagon, as well as old Accord wagons from the 90s, all of which are pretty rare for what they are, but I think you'll like driving an odyssey.
>made the mistake of mentioning I was in the market for a new car around my mom>specifically an Acura TSX>she fancies herself a car girl (she is the farthest thing from it), starts doing "research" >tells me they're bad cars if you get a bad model but ok cars if you get a good model>looking all over for "good models" (07, 08, 11, 13, 14)>can barely find shit>plenty of 10's and 12's though (supposedly the worst)>saw a 2011 one, went for a test drive but it handled even worse than my current Accordis she full of shit or is this true? Feels like a "broken clock is right twice a day" situation but I don't want to be buying a lemon either. My friend who is an actual mechanic said he doesn't work on Acuras that much so that's a good sign from his pov but he's not in a position to give actual advice. Found some good looking ones that are 300+ miles away but I don't mind a drive if its a worthwhile car. Any input?
>>29037065I kinda like the later TSXs, never even driven one but they deleted the hydraulic power steering that the old TSXs and Accords have which leaks and costs the owners money if you need rack and pinion and pump.
>>29037068Funny you say that, I've had a few issues with the power steering fluid leaking in my Accord so this is a plus. I really want one but I'm kind of in my own head about it. Nothing is currently super wrong with my Honda but I've been driving it for a long time and didn't take the best care of it after I got it. Feels like its holding itself together with thoughts and prayers. Been riding around without a catalytic converter for a long time because the first two got stolen so I'm sure that has plenty to do with it.
>>29037083>Been riding around without a catalytic converter for a long timeKek she's probably happy as a clam without it despite the emissions testing concerns, the cats aren't really restrictive at all unless it's clogged, but I'm sorry the shitheads have stolen them.

>sell fk8 last year due to health issues and concerns >issues are gone and get a high paying job again>here I am eyeing integra type s’sAwwww shit here I go again. My rx350 will be my dd and the its will be my fun car…
>>29041709>RX3502GR Toyotas are such a good ass dailys to go with a based Honda K20C
>>29041716it's exceptionally boring but it's a 2017 with 43k miles. Even commuting 100 miles a day (which I'm doing...) it should last a long time.
>>29041747Boring is good when you need it, my uncle got the 2020 ES350 and it was the most comfortable numb car ever
How durable are Delphi coils for a 07 Honda Jazz (IDSI)? Buying just a set from honda is expensive as fuck so i wanna know if those are just as durable as the factory coils.
>>29042035They're fine anon, if you're changing coil packs with spark plugs every interval (ideal) then you shouldn't have to worry about it having a problem, I would trust Delphi made ignition coils from autozone over my originals from 22 years ago, that's why they're getting replaced next set of plugs.
Okay brosI know I said it's a beach dayBut it's rainy and nasty and cloudyWhat am I supposed to do1/?
>>290430392/?

>>29043039>>29043041Every day is pleasant in a Type S no matter how gloomy
>>290430474/?
>>29043051Nice. I'm eyeing these. How often do you scrape the front? I feel like the fk8 I had was notorious for it+ it had a questionable design...you'd scrape off the clips and then eventually the mounting holes. I think these cars and fl5 are much smarter...damn these look good.
>>29043117Not often, there's a specific hotel that I always stay at when I'm driving to visit my parents and I swear I scrape every time when I'm leaving because it's on a slope, no matter how many times I tell myself about it I always forget. But no issues otherwise
>>29043117Can confirm>>29043039Drive slow, listen to some moe jazz
>>29043790>jazzBased, precision crafted cars with 355HP are for refined gentleman with taste.
>>29043790i hate that rpf1's are so popular but also look so good on any japmobile.
>>29043051How good is the lumbar support ? Can you add a good amount? t rehabbing a bulging l4/l5
>>29032187I’m sure the fucking picture is gonna be upside down but paint is done

>>29044553looks beautiful!and fyi newbro 4ch strips metadata from your uploads.looks like you're uploading directly from mobile so you'll need to rotate the image on PC or in a app for it to upload correctly.
>>29044553Jesus Anon paint my 2004 Accord holy shit
>>29032187>>29044553would you paint someone else's vehicle for a price?
>>29044557Took like a month start to finish >>29044600probably not but would recommend doing it yourself
I'm just wondering. What's the general opinion on honda diesels? Mostly the N engine.
Should I?
>>29046706I like it, yeah it's got some minimal rust in the typical quarter but that's mint for a 34yo car that was always susceptible to rust.
>>29046706Yes and K20/K24 swap it and hoon the fuck out of it.
Anyone knows if the S2000 washer fluid cap is interchangable with anything else? Alternatively, what's a good nigger-rigged solution?
>>29000272bought a 1986 crx base trim automatic transmission with 31,000 miles, excellent condition, unmodified, starts and runs and drives perfectlyserviced regularly up until the owner died around 2020ish maybe, came with original sales receipt, dealership documents from 1986, miscellaneous service records from 1986-2012the person I bought it from got it at an estate sale for $4000, only because nobody else wanted it, and I purchased it from him for $5khow much is this thing actually worth?
Lads. I finally did it.
>>29047767>even the trip smoking outBased
>>29046747f22a1 may not have vtec, but its unstoppable and will absolutely dominate with a turbo. everyone always jumps straight to H/K swap though
Man what the fuck. Hondata has apparently been bought out by private equity (same firm that owns COBB, GrimmSpeed, PRL, and a few other companies)
>>29047767Nice.
one of the upper centre clips is busted on the passenger right rear panel cladding of my element, what would be the easiest fix for this?i'll eventually get a new panel second hand but would like to do something in the meantime
>>29049832dammit
>1 owner 15k mile 2024 integra type s's are going for $45kBROS...
>>29051136>Dealer price and it's still 15k worth less from newThe poor original owner got fucking hosed trading this in but it's a good fuckin deal.
>>29051144i keep telling myself I will wait a few months and then treat myself but then I see deals like this.FUck
>>29051147I'd do it if I had money, two years old isn't even clapped out or anything, typically I'm used to the value of an Accord going off the edge of a cliff after like 5 years 60K miles, but Type S value is falling even quicker and you get a K20C engine.
this is for sale in my area
>>29007833Anon did you survive???
