Maybe I'm a unicorn but I use the shit out of my crew cab 4x4 Ranger in every capacity - just yesterday I went on a hike from a trailhead that would've sucked to get to in a Forester or RAV4 and impossible in anything less than that, a couple of days before I hauled my mountain bike in the bed (which I do at least 2-3 times a week) instead of having to use some janky rack or put a muddy bike inside a carpeted passenger compartment, I've got a hard tonneau cover I can install in 20 mins and then I have a giant sealed and secure trunk when I need it, I use the shit out of the back seats both for passenger purposes and as a trunk for shit like groceries, I saved literal thousands when I moved a few years ago by being able to rent a trailer for a few hundred bucks instead of a whole U-Haul truck, and it's a great commuter that isn't even awful on gas. There's no other type of vehicle on the market that can do all of those things so competently.

I have a Maverick as my personal vehicle and a Ranger as a company branded work truck. The Ranger has a cap on it and it's full of pest control related tools.The Maverick could totally do the same job with the size of the bed it has. This EV with a smaller bed would still be viable for the job. The bed is needed because a bunch of poison can't be in the cab I'm driving in, and I need easy access to the various traps and supply stockpile. I'm only using like 100lbs of payload in a bed full of stuff.But they will only consider a Maverick and not this EV because sometimes you drive over 500km in a 9-5.
