Just got a dragy
What performance metrics should I record to prove to /o/tards that my car is better than theirs, and therefore I am a better person
>>
>>29009962
60-130 is the current standard.
>>
>>29009967
accurate, anybody can game 0-60 with tire compound and patch at this point. actual vehicular engineering is determined at highway speed and above
>>
>>29009967
I don't understand why something like 30-80 isn't more common
That's where 90% of usable street performance lives
>>
>>29010050
Because you could achieve that with just some aggressive gearing. 60-130 tests both your traction plus your alledgeded power. Nobody is building a 1000+hp care for "street performance". Go buy a EV if that's what you're after.
>>
>>29010116
Nigga my car is my daily driver, I'm not building no 1000 hp pile of bolts
my shit gonna be slow af 60-130, i need to manipulate the metrics to flex on /o/
>>
>>29009962
>0-60mph
>0-100mph
>1/4 mile
>>
>>29010124
I agree with this m/o/ron but I've only done runs to 130 a handful of times. it's just not that useful as an everyday metric of street performance.
>>
>36-10-59-97
Only metric that matters.
>>
>>29010124
>my shit gonna be slow af 60-130
Then you got nothing to flex with. Nobody cares if your electric appliance does 0-60 in 3s when it does a 10 second 60-130.
>>
>>29010351
>10 second 60-13
nigga that's like an m3
you should be required to post your driver's license and car's title to post on /o/
>>
0-100-0 Tests your engine, transmission, brakes, probably aero, and suspension.
>>
say when. There might be 2 people here with a faster car than me and that's only because they proved they had a Viper and the other guy had a Porch GT3RS.
>>
>>29009962
Drag my nuts across your face and tell me how it performs. Fgt.
>>
>>29009962
0-60 is literally all that matters
>>
>>29011873
Are you the fag with the 14 second R?
>>
My car is limited to 111 though.
>>
>>29010116
what is the current standard for quick with a 60-130?
like the equivalent of a 4 second or less 0-60
>>
>>29010240
really the only metric that actually factors into my everyday driving is 5/10-60
most of my street "races" are just going up against Karens in Macans and dudebros in tuned truggs trying to beat me to a merge from a traffic light
because I'm not the one to typically initiate I'm in bit of a rollout before seeing if they go for it
that makes the most important factor for my car how fast can it accelerate from a rollout
>>
my car gets to 110 consistantly around 19s or less but does a kindof poor 14.5s 1/4.
it's fast but it's dead on the line because I keep all-seasons on it.
>>
>>29013073
Fast is in the 3 second range. Quick is the 5 second range.
>>
>>29013946
get off the internet goofy ass lil nigga
>>
>>29013958
>Balljeet is starting to come to the realization that his Tesla isn't actually fast
>>
>>29013961
neither a gt3 rs nor a 911 turbo s do 60-130 in 5 seconds
>>
>>29013966
Yeah because they're slow in a straight line compared to other things out there.
>>
>>29013974
>turbo s
>slow in a straight line
lol
lmao even
>>
>>29013978
A Whipple F-150 walks them... I really hope this "enthusiast forum" knows that there are ways to have fast vehicles without spending $200k on a "fast" vehicle...
>>
>>29013982
LOL nigga the 911 is pissing on that shit by like 2 full seconds in the 1/4 mile
>>
>>29013998
Go be European somewhere else. There are plenty of 10 second (on the street) and quicker F-150's out there and those are the slow ones...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYsndh7nLK8
>>
>>29014007
still slower than a new turbo s bone stock
>>
>>29014016
You're comparing a $250k supercar to Jose's work truck on a sleepy tune... You're a financial and performance cuck at that point.

The moral of the story is if you're going to "flex" you better be faster than a pickup truck.
>>
>>29014029
no the moral of the story is a turbo s isn't slow you dumb fuck and neither is any car with a 5 second 60-130 you bench racing retard
also nobody wants to drive some clapped out pickup truck nigga get a real job and stop daydreaming about some spicmobile
>>
>>29013961
dude a Tesla is one of the few cars that actually can do 60-130mph in 4 to 5 seconds
I don't think you realize how few cars are able to do that without extensive tuning or supercar money
8 seconds already beats 95% of the cars on the road

Not just a ricer but a clown on top of it.
Lol.
>>
>>29013946
>>29013958
wait wait
are you talking about kph or mph here
because 5s 60-130MPH is ball crushingly fast
for kilometers per it's more reasonable
>>
>>29014034
A Turbo S is slow for the price. A $60k F-150 runs the same 1/4. You should stop daydreaming about shit you will never be able to afford.

>>29014054
Were talking MPH. A 900hp C7 Vette will do a sub 5 60-130mph. Those are definitely not uncommon and it doesn't take a lot of money to get there. Now keep in mind there are street cars that do it in under 3 seconds.
>>
>>29014061
I get that your dad works at nintendo but 900hp anything is not remotely common
>>
>>29014238
I see close to 50 700+hp cars a day. Maybe you live in some third world shithole?
>>
>>29015058
What cars and where do you live?
>>
>>29015184
Alberta. Lots of oil money and rich boomers. Stock vehicles we got...
Ram TRX/Trackhawks/all the supercharged watermelon mobiles
Escalade V
Raptor R
Tesla Plaid
Brown town is filled with Hummer EV's
Higher trim C8 Corvettes

There are no inspections here so aftermarket stuff can get pretty rowdy. I see people driving around with 'chutes and beadlocks.
>>
>>29011920
this but without launch control because you're not using that every single time

I’m not a drag nigga… but 60-130 is so fucking gay. Any retard can boost/cam/e85 his auto c6 corvette, throw some some Mickey Thomason’s street r’s, and act like some type of bad ass online

1/4 is the true test. You need to have car iq and skill to get a good time. You need to make sure your powerband/gearing is optimal. A well dialed in/driven 480whp c6 vette can murk an above average build putting down 600whp

Not only that, you need to figure out tire pressures, launch methods, suspension. Add a staging brake, and banging gears if your a real driver ass nigga

Again….Not only that, 1/4 mile trap speed is an amazing indicator of actual power going to the wheels.

Fuck roll racing, fuck 60-130. If you’re gonna be a straight line guy, 1/4 takes knowledge, skill, and practice.

Picrel is my straight line car. The mod combination, clutch choice, tire choice, launch method, shift points were all carefully selected for optimal performance.
>>
>>29009967
I don't think my car can even make it to 130
aern't most people driving around on tires rated for like 102mph?
>>
>>29016649
My 30 y.o. “140 hp” Miata with 150k miles can make it to just a hair under 130 mph. 130 is about where “fast” begins.
I thought most people rode 140mph tires.
>>
>>29016649
If a pickup truck can get to 160 that's a little sad. I'm pretty sure the average all season or even an A/T is rated for a lot more than 102mph. That's like a trailer tire speed rating.

>130 is about where “fast” begins
I'm convinced this thread is a psyop to convince retards to wrap themselves around a tree trying to do 130 around a bend on the highway
or is this just what you people out in nevada do when your roads are all straight for miles and miles? bro there ain't a straight road anywhere near me
>>
>>29016766
it's no different than retards who think the average gamer has a 4070 ti or something
>>
>>29016766
I had typed out a few sentences about how it’s dangerous and nobody should do it, but then I figured someone would say *that* was a psyop or claim I’m a moralfag, whatever, don’t drive over the limit or your abilities, kids.

guys...
i'm afraid i'm just... regular traffic
>>
>>29016779
Eh, it looks reasonable to me, decent, even.
>>
>>29016779
>Trap spd 104-105
I suspect you could get your launch dialed in and make low 13s.
>>
>>29010182
This
what the heck are these goobers talking about 17.5mph to 1488kph
>>
>>29016791
yeah i keep launch control at 2500 rpm cause FWD and i don't want to fuck my poor front axle
just figured out how to add custom measurements so i'm gonna start doing some rolls, 30-60, 30-80, 40-100, 60-130 if i can find a decent stretch of road, cause i'm not a huge fan of launching my car
>>
>>29016800
That's fair I guess. Is it a turbo? I'm guessing GTi. You could cheat some of those rolls with brake boosting depending on how the dragy system works, but that's not great for the car either.

also some old pulls from before dragy with the onboard data logging
not sure the accuracy compared to dragy but numbers ranged from ~4.8 - 5.6 s 0-60 so there's definitely time to be gained from a good launch
>>
>>29016857
actually next time i'll just log with onboard and dragy and compare directly
>>
>>29016779
Very close to what i got.

What car though?
