What can bike designers do to regain their glory?
Throw all of the gimmick tech in the trash and focus on engine/chassis/suspension development. >It's a motorcycle not a two wheeled computer that does 80% of the work for you>Also throw out that retarded autoslop box that they keep pushing
>>29011906There's a point where physics become a serious limitation. Unless you want to make a bike low, long and have a huge fat rear tire you'll never get faster by just adding power. Check out the new Ducati Diavel RS, it can crank out a 2.4s 0-60 time, no mention of 1/4 time yet but it'll be faster than most sportsbikes which also need to handle.
>>29011912>throw out that retarded autoslop box that they keep pushingYou're a dumbass. They're putting automatics in bikes because thats what novices want. Its dangerous and a lot of people curious about bikes can't drive a manual transmission car. Delete one of the hurdles to sell more units. >>29011906Make them so your middest of mid bikes that ever midded don't start at $12,000 new. Thats about used BRZ money as a fun vehicle and that comes with AC.
>>29014455If they started incorporating the ride height tech that MotoGP is banning next year, these bikes could be significantly faster. They're now traction limited on the straights.
>>29014497Honda CB750 is just $9000
H U S Q A V A R N AUSKY
>>29014497Oops found an automatic faggot. Opinion discarded, git gud scrub. Nobody cares about your retarded excuses on why you can't shift
>>29014561I don't have an automatic. Stop pretending like you're superior for being able to move your foot half an inch and flex your fingers at the same time.
>>29014589I can do that. I'm fucking based now.
>>29014589>White knighting autoslopsBitch I AM better than you
>>29014540>KTM reliability>jeet madeFinna pass.
>>29014520nah, all they need to do is to finally alligatorizesuperbikes are not traction limited, they are center of gravity limited
>>29014497>thats what novices wantop didnt ask what novices want, she asked what bikes can do to regain their glorythe answer is:stop making anything with less than 4 cylinders in an inline configurationstop making bikes without fairingsstop adding traction control abs gimmicks that real riders actively avoid
>>29014589>auto goodYou are a tranny
>>29015341What if someone want something different than a supesport or superbike? Also, there's nothing wrong with V4.
>>29015401>What if someone want something different than a supesport or superbike?reducation camp, no really if its not a sportbike its pretty much junk and you might as well TTT (TAKE THE TRUCK)
>>29014497>They're putting automatics in bikes because thats what novices wantId be curious to see a source on this with hard numbers and not just "oh this segment is growing". As a novice, part of the reason I got it motorcycles is specifically so I could play with a manual vehicle. I did get to test ride an automatic and it was nice in a way but felt like I was driving an appliance.
>>29015341>she asked what bikes can do to regain their gloryYou neglected making them common and popular with people. Currently they're considered suicide machines ridden by boomers, retarded mexicans, or adrenaline junkies. Look at it this way: how does Nissan regain their glory? Stop giving them to ever retarded melanoid who instantly puts a dent on it and blasts mumble rap. >stop adding traction control abs gimmicks that real riders actively avoidI see you're in the core demographic listed above.
>>29015458>Id be curious to see a source on this with hard numbersSource is I made it the fuck up just like every other peer reviewed scientific data-driven faggy study out there. Not everything has to be numbers driven, reddit. Sometimes you can just talk to a variety of people and draw conclusions without relying on someone else telling you what to think.
When did they lose it?
>>29015595I would say they lost it in 2021 when Plaid appeared and outracing a superbike in a stock family car suddenly became possible
>>29014589>posts how physically trivial it is to change gears on a motorcycle>gets fucking furious when people make fun of him for (supposedly) not being able to do itBro, don't let these people get you down. Remember, it's a mode of transport, not an identity. Ride your scooter and go on with your day.
>>29015614I never said I wasn't able to do it. spergs said I couldn't despite me saying I do. And yeah, your literbike gets you to your manual labor job just like a Pickup truck or minivan. Enjoying summer so far?
>>29015614No, bikes aren't a mode of transport. Bike riders don't talk about bikes the same way bus riders talk about buses. They talk about bikes the same way Himalayan climbers talk about Himalayas.Well... unless you've heard someone saying he would rather die than stop riding buses
