I’m looking for a sporty coupe to use as a daily driver. My budget is $24k burger bucks. What would you buy?
>>29012692C5
2010 mustang GT premium
>>29012695Preferably not the one with the trashy "lambo" door rice.
>>29012695That would be a great option but i measured and it literally will not fit into my garage.
>>29012692S550 Mustgay EgoboostNo you do not need the GT, expecially for daily drivingIf you don't make more than 500K a year you don't deserve a V8
>>29012758terrible b8
>>29012733Enjoy your miata i guess
>>29012692Acura Rsx
>>29012733A Corvette's not even a big car. If that won't fit, you don't have a garage. You have a shed, my dude.
>>29012692I can tell you're a ricer from this picture, wrenchlet.
Camaro 1le
E92 335i
>>29012856>you don't have a garage. You have a shed, my dude.Basically. My house was built in the 40’s.
>>29012856the C5 is a boat of a car when it comes to a coupe
>>29012692I’m thinking this Lexus rc 350 AWD might be a good option.
>>29013085It's the same size as a civic
I recently bought a G37 IPL because I've always wanted one for the longest time, but I wouldn't recommend the IPL trim unless you're a huge G nerd, base G37 is amazing for the price though. This is what I would recommend in order:>C6 Corvette with the LS2 (look on FB marketplace)>C5 Corvette Z06>Really really nice C5 3LT>370Z>G37>ND Miata>FR-S/86/BRZ>GTO>S197 Mustang GT>5th Gen Camaro That's basically everything in the <$20,000 range. Just for fun to include some cheaper <$10,000 examples:>C4 Corvette (no 1984!)>SN95 Mustang>Catfish Camaro >Firebird Trans Am with LS1>NA/NB/NC Miata>350Z>G35>RSX Type S>8th Gen Civic SI>Integra GSR>EM1 Civic SiJust get a Corvette, Miata, or 86/BRZ and you'll be more than happy. They're often chosen for a reason, which is a good thing because you have parts and a zillion guides. Plus you'll still be unique because every other normie is just in a RAV4, so you'll be considered the cool car guy regardless >>29012692
>>29013710>>29013710Did you want a sporty coupe or a slow spiced up two-door Camry? The Lexus of this era are constantly ranked last among all the others when it comes to track performance, usually the F Sport just adds some different bumpers and different spring damping with not much else.If you want Japanese luxury, have you looked at the 370Z / G37 or even the ND Miata?
>>29013710>Salvage title>Detroit Michigan I know a Lexus is supposed to last, but Tyrone bouncing off the redline for 20,000 miles without a oil change after crashing into wall isn't gonna run so good
Only problem with buying a vette is having to deal with “know what I got” boomers.
>>29013710>slushbox
>>29012692Riced out RX7 for sure.
>>29013927I think the nc vs nd Miata is an interesting thought. NC will be cheaper, more customizable in the aftermarket which could be fun but also could come with more issues cause 10+ years old. ND will be more expensive up front but is more refined and need less money put into it. They will both fit my garage easily as well.
>>29012692M I A T A
>>29013710>salvage reportedunderage retards wanting a car they can't actually afford will never stop being a thing
get a good shape 90s japanese like 240sx and put some of the money into making it nicer.
>>29015525Horrible idea. A 25+ year old car is going to need so many things replaced. Anything rubber or acting as a seal is going to be falling apart. It will be a money pit.
>>29015674A lot of effort yes, absolutely.A lot of money, maybe. More than most expect, not as much as you'd think.
>>29012696>11.5% APRGross
>>29013819I thought you were joking, but this is actually true.C5 Corvettelength - 179.7"width - 73.6"Current gen Civiclength - 179.1"width - 70.9"Same length and only 2.5" wider. That's crazy. Doesn't look that way at all.
>>29012696>$23k for 16 year old, pre-coyote mustang Dealerships are on some good crack. Even at 40k miles no one is paying that much for an old basic bitch mustang. Also you really think its a good idea posting your workplace on 4chan? Get a real job you salesman scum.
>>29012692M240i. The good one - not that newer pigfat, tablet-dashed, spic-built POS.
>>29015747All of these will be 100k+ miles which means it will need a new water pump, plugs, valve gasket and turbo seals at a minimum. Otherwise great car in the price range. I owned a 3 series for 10 years.
>>29012695>1998 corvette>$20kHoly shit you guys are getting raped on the other side of the pond lmao
>>29014066Riced the fuck out
>>29012692BRZ with a supercharger maybe?
>>29015882Not even remotely true.
>>29015872It only has 51,000 miles and is sold by a dealer. You could find cheaper ones on craigslist/facebook.
>>29015882Is this supposed to be b8? That car has coilovers, a ducktail spoiler and a short antenna. Everything else is factory.
>>29015674if u get it for 8k or under that leave a huge amount of cash to replace seals, hoses and gaskets also get any minor issues fixed and even paint it.
>>29015985who the hell has time for all that kind of bullshit?
>>29012692a Dodge Challenger with the 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 for me, please.
>>29016166crazy autistic people who know people that like to do car stuff
>>29012692why would you ever dd a coupe?have some self respect and dd a pickup
>>29016239i do drive a pickup. i took a job about four months ago that has me on the road in rental cars every other week for a good chunk of the year. i'm spending so much time in practical cars that when i get home, i long for something fun. also, when i'm not on the road i work from home so i don't really need practicality. i can afford to have my daily be something fun and interesting.right now an ND miata is at the top of my list but that m240i would be pretty tempting if it wasn't for the problems i know would come along with a higher mileage bmw.
>>29016239npc non car enthusiast.
>>29016288thats not a bad monthly payment for a cool car seeing as there are people out there paying 800ish for a retarded crossover thing
>>29012692Miatas are great; but I'm not sure they're comfy enough for a daily driver. I'd go for a used Camaro or Mustang.
Just a couple months ago bought a Fiat 124 Spider Abarth (aka Fiata) with 6spd. As a daily driver it's okay, but just like the ND Miata, it's got no storage for basics. Also, trunk can't be opened if the battery dies. Don't put jumper cables in there. Also no spare tire. But it is fun, and I've been driving with top down unless raining. No problem squealing tires and taking corners fast is kind of fun. Not the fastest but gets up to speed quick enough.
>>29016408That just the number on the website based on nothing. I have $12,000 cash to put down on whatever I buy. Payment would be closer to $200/month and I would make double payments to be free and clear in 2.5 years.
>>29016431There is a manual trunk release, it’s just a pain in the ass to get to and you need a screwdriver.
>>29016440Maybe for the Miata? That's where I get confused. Fiat manual says "When the battery is discharged, the trunk lid cannot be unlocked and opened. In this case, the trunk can be unlocked by taking care of the discharged battery situation" and proceeds to show the emergency release inside the trunk. After using "this emergency measure", it says to see an authorized dealer as quickly as possible.
>>29016451The fiat 124 spider is a Miata so the trunk release is the same. https://21stcenturyfiat124spider.wordpress.com/2017/03/06/emergency-trunk-access/
Ford Maverick Hybrid AWD
>>29012978Lol
>>29012692Knower here, I'm about to best/o/w upon you super secret used market car knowledge. Cadillac ATS, 4 cylinder turbo coupe 6 speed manual rear drive3300lbs270hpCan be found around your budget with examples can be found at half your budget. It's basically a modern domestic tuner car that doesn't look like a tuner car with luxury bits thrown on
>>29016437thats what i do with loans as long as they dont have a prepayment clause and i simply dont take those lol
>>29016527Interesting car but high mileage turbos are not something I’m really that interested in. The six cylinder option looks great but they’re rare with the manual transmission and too expensive for the mileage they have.
>>29013085but a C5 is a coupe?
>>29016852What do you want from me man. If it doesn’t fit, it doesn’t fit.
>>29016925NTA, but I want you to stop using the size of your shed as a basis for your car. Get a bike or something if you need to fit it in a shed.
>>29016990I have one.
>>29012692Oldsmobile cutlass Ciera the unibody FWD models
strongly considering this guy. clear coat is in rough shape but seller says the car is rust free. i can buy it in cash which leaves me plenty of money to have it wrapped and fix up a few cosmetic issues.
>>29017884If you care about aesthetics, NC's look a lot better with their bolt on hardtop on a soft top car like the old ones. The lines are way better.
>>29018835
>>29017884Also, I really like what FM did with this one, it looks beefy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=479b2iaJ26c
