And why is Mercedes Benz and Jaguar?

>Only Euro brands to shove Supercharged V6 and V8 engines in their standard models

>Only mainstream Euro brands to make real supercars (XJR-15, XJ220, and CLK-GTR)

>Only mainstream Euro brands with real motorsport history (both in Le Mans and F1)
>>
Jaguar is kind of a joke now and doesn't even compete in "real" motorsports anymore. Cadillac competes in WEC, IMSA, and F1 at this point, and makes better cars than both.

But generally speaking, Jaguar has the richer history whilst Benz has historically made better cars. but both are pretty shit these days.

I only see old people and Eastern Europeans drive Mercedes around here. BMW and Audi is way more popular with young people. Especially the Audi A5 is really popular here, it's both sleek and practical and a lot of people love it. And unlike BMW, has a bit better reputation with drivers.

What's with all the Jag shilling recently? People don't buy those things because they're unreliable and underperforming pieces of shit.

Luv my 92 300SL I got it from my dad for 1.5K and it's been a fun daily. Sent the cluster to get fixed and I fixed the A/C which blows surprisingly cold but I might recharge it since I don't think it's 100%. Then I need figure out the poor starting issues, replace the whole suspension, fix the leaky hydraulic line on the convertible motor, and some cosmetic stuff.

It's Renault, and anyone who says otherwise is coping or a retard. Jaguar discontinued the XJ and the F-Type, the best models they had, and went through the worst rebranding in automotive history. Mercedes-Benz stopped being about engineering excellence a long time ago and focuses exclusively on cheap tech gimmicks nowadays.

Renault is the only maker that still makes fun cars and cars people want.

Borderline unusable as a road car, it's only worth considering if you offroad all the time.
>Most have been ruined by the EU's regs
By cost cutting. Most shit people find annoying about modern cars is there because the beancounters willed it so.

Jag didn't have anything to do with the XJR-15, it was TWR playing around with spare Group C parts and released it around the time of the XJ220 which royally pissed off Jag because it had the V12 they couldn't get to fit.
