Nice weather we’re having, post and discuss cabriolets, targas, anything which has a removable roof. Speedsters and roadsters also welcome.
>>29014741Any anon here have a corvette c4 as a cabrio? Any mods or fixes done so the roof doesn’t rub or tear in places?
>>29014746Forgot pic, saw one a month ago but green and a tan roof.
Severely tempted by one these atm.
>>29014752bruh the long swooping hood gives the car a nearly divine presence in the company of shit boxes i love them too, even with that wonky face
>>29014764Clean up aisle my pants
>>29014775What’s this car?
>>29014752BMW z4?
>>29014780Suzuki X-90.5spd or auto, RWD or AWD. I’ve seen a few by the coast in Florida.
>>29014787It’s cool af. Rwd is unexpected, was it derived from the Samurai chassis or something?

>>29014786Z4 /////////M with the 3.2L 340hp i6
Have any of you guys installed a subwoofer in a cabrio? I’m looking to install one, my trunk is closed off with a bulkhead and I don’t have space under the seat so it’ll go in the passenger footwell.
>>29014824SWB Vitara/Tracker
>>29014741i <3 my celica.
>>29014884Very nice
Do you guys use your convertibles all year? I've come to realize I mostly drive cars in the summer and I live alone so a cabriolet is not entirely wrong for me. But I would need to use it at times in winter time too.
>>29014900Yes, I live in western OR, so my Mustang is only topless about 3 months out of the year, tops. But it's my daily driver all year.
>>29014905That's nice to hear. I have a garage too so the top won't be exposed to rain all days either. I'm tired of driving big cars around when it's only me and my bag anyways.
>>29014900i'm entirely too pale to get away with it in the summer but i enjoy fall through early spring. i'm in the south east so like today its 94
>>29014900Yes, even in winter with the top down. The only time I put on the soft top is when parking or it’s raining/snowing and I use a hardtop when I’m doing a very long roadtrip for hours.
These cars are simply too cool to be real
Is a convertible Camaro a bad idea? It solves the visibility issues of the last generation, but will a 4000lb convertible drive like ass outside of straight lines? >>29014900Sure do. For highway driving, 45 degrees is usually my limit, and 35 for in town.
>>29015075Convertibles are always a good idea and it’s worth sacrificing anything for amazing visibility
>>29014767TIL you can get a removable hardtop for the Z4. Looks good.
(Not my pic but pretty much looks the same)Pulled the shell for the summer when I was building it.New seals.Haven't pulled it off since (15 years later and no leaks)
>>29015223nu broncos are such a disgrace; jesus just look at that thing. hnnnnnnnnng
>>29014741I will never like that trunk/handlebars design, it's the single thing keep me from getting one.
>>29015223American culture is an illness.
Aren't you guys afraid something will fall on you like bird poop or a pebble from an overpass or something?
>>29015223Not a convertible.
>>29014773sexo
>>29015381>>29015791these are great and broncos are cool too outside of america you just don’t understand how accommodating american infrastructure is to large vehicles and how much open space there is to actually use them off road
>>29015075What a cute lil fella oh my God. Nice tires too.
>>29014741Z3 owner here. Really annoying that basically every other convertible here has hardtops for sale right now in my country (E36 Cabrio, E46 Cabrio, E85 Z4, NA/NB MX5, Porsche Boxster) but zero Z3 hardtops for sale. I'm not sure about the percentages but I'd think the Z3 hardtop would be even more common than at least few of those in the list.
>>29015804Thanks, the Miata is like a happiness generator.
>>29016121The Hamaan version is a real stunner.
Damn, someone is selling a '96 Z3 in my area for only 5 grand. It has only done 140k km. Shame I can't buy another car right now.
>>29017073Auto or manual?
>>29016333true
>>29016402why tf did they put those lumps on the hard top? look like a mfing Klingon
>>29017201Yeah auto
>>29017220
>>29017219For big brains only.
You are lubricating the moving parts of your top using the correct tools, right anon? Do you want a squeaky rattling too this summer?
>>29017368>Lubricating it so it wouldn’t squeakCouldn’t be me, mine’s Italian.
>>29017073Probably has problems. I bought a 130K Z3 for 5 grand. Probably spent 2500 on it already.
Crazy Taxi kinda burned into my memory when I first thought of convertible, but IRL 4 seater convertibles are rare
>>290187044 seaters are rare? In Germany many convertibles I see are 3, 4 and 8 series BMWs, although admittedly I don’t see that many of them. Also the Porsche 911 cabrio has 4 seats if that counts
I always want to buy convertibles until I see one on the road and realize how gay and attention-seeking the drivers look like
>>29014741pic rel has always been a dream of mineToo bad it'll stay just a dream since i'm a failure and i'll never own a car
