Which gay roadster should I buy for weekend fun? I don't necessarily want speed, I just want a small tossable car. How gay is the bmw of this era?

>>29018507gen 6 celica, its a very gay car, tranny approved
>>29018523>>29018525>>29018526
not a roadster but these are great plenty still around infinity parts not pricey
>>29018620Are these actually fun though? Or just gay?
>>29018666i loved mine i could chirp the tires going into 2nd super light weight surprisingly good in the snow top goes down it will cock a wheel like a gti when you throw it into corners hard enough has the body and face of a car from the 70’s but the reliability of a car from the 80’s they’re great
>>29018507the early bmw z4 (v6, manual) is actually solid. Expensive to maintain, but fun.
>>29018507>SLK 320Thoughts?
>>29018507Manual Z3 is a decent alternativeSlightly heavier, but a little roomier and much nicer on the highwayDecently reliable, just a 3 series underneath so there are no issues with getting parts or their costStill a tossable roadster, just not quite as puristic as an MX5Z4 is a similar compromise, unfortunatly with electric power steering, but on the other hand it's really low and wide, fully compatible with tall dudes and has a really decent trunk
>>29018748slow, imprecise steeringclunky manual transmissionssoft suspensionIt's a well made, handsome car that happens to have 2 seats and a convertible roof, but there's nothing sporty about itMight as well look at Audi TTs
>>29018748My mother bought one of these new decades ago and she still has it. My pre-boomer parents treat it like it's somehow special and not an embarassing hair-dresser car. They are unfortunately sort of retarded when it comes to maintenance, and I fear the state of the engine/transmission.
>>29018507IMO, the NA Miatas are overpriced for what you get. It's a very cheaply built car. When you hit 2nd it's, "Where's the power at?"The i6 Z3's can accelerate uphill which is definitely a nice feeling. The feeling of "tossability" with the Z3 seems to be dependent on the tires, though. With the Firehawk Indy 500's on my Coupe, the steering is a little delayed and it feels more like it wants to carve corners than be tossed into them. The Potenza Sports on my roadster felt better. The Miata is tossable.

>>29018791Get some real sticky shit in there.
>>29018777>treat it like it's somehow special and not an embarassing hair-dresser car. When you buy new and never sell and maintain it then it's actually a good car. Why else would they do it? I don't even fuck with eurotrash.
>>29018748Just get the second gen one
>>29018748Like another anon mentioned, it's a "fake sport car" but nonetheless dope af to drive around if you're looking for a more comfy drive. The other other anon mentioned Gen2 which I'd advise too if you're going for an SLK, but they will be more expensive than Audi TTs if you want "deutsche qualidad" (kek)
>>29018902Sure, but there were many cars to buy twenty years ago, why you pick an SLK320 is beyond me.
