It's wild that you take one test as a teenager and then you're licensed for life. Whenever i want to rage at other drivers, I have remind myself that we share the road with: the elderly, people with disabilities (including diagnosed mental retardation), drug addicts, schizophrenics, and women. My gut tells me that requiring a driving exam every 5 years would be un-American, but our current system is so impractical. We need to get these incompetent drivers off the road.
