>Truck was apparently having some starter solenoid relay issues. (Wasn’t my job to fix at the time)
>Another mechanic had taught the driver how to internally close the relay to turn over the truck

Well today he goes to the oil changers and they swap his filters. The truck started up then fell flat on its face after idling for a moment. I’m very familiar with the priming procedure and figured either bad filter swap or bad priming job.

When I got down there I had no crank no start at the key. I could close the relay and get it to crank but it would not turn over. Still felt like fuel delivery issues. Pump at the tank hummed and the High pressure pump clicked at key on. I pulled codes for no comm with the ECM/PCM.
Could bypassing the starter circuit by closing the relay not allow proper fuel pressure to go to injectors?

if i had to guess, it's related to this?

retard. Go back.

What are you trying to say? These are synonyms. Half your post is senseless is this a bot?

some retards think crank means "rotate the engine" and turn over means "engine actually starts"
and some other retards think the exact opposite

not the OP but he means the engine will crank but not start/run. the problem is that everything is all nigger rigged. one shouldn't have to bypass a starter relay. it was likely a problem of the ECM not working correctly to activate the starter relay. now the problem is more severe, and ECM is not firing the injectors. they need to diagnose the problem -- this means not bypassing shit or blindly throwing a new ECM at the truck (which won't fix anything if it's e.g., a corroded wire or a short somewhere else.)

Yes my apologies typed in a rush. Still new to it all. I found the ECM plug loosely together. Engine will now crank and does have proper pressure at the rail, still will not start.

Codes for practically everything electric are present. There were no issues when it rolled in, they swap two fuel filters and now it’s dead in the water?? I have to be over complicating this.

Zebras not horses?

ECM isn't telling the injectors to fire so it's not going to start. you need to start troubleshooting the electronics problems. if you don't know how to troubleshoot electronics, you aren't going to have much luck.
