Yeah. You get great visibility because of the seat position and height and it doesn't have enough torque to flip. It also has a very easy to work clutch.
It's a great everything bike. It's good for a bit of everything you could want to do on a bike.
>>
>finally got my shitty moped to work for more than one ride at a time
>adjusted the rest of it so it rides at least mostly properly
>did some shit to get the gas tank at least level

>forgot to put gas in it

i have about two litres left at least gas is cheaper than it was when i bought a bunch like a month and a half ago. now i just have to practice enough to not routinely stall out in lunchtime traffic

why is

the link doesn't even work

where can i buy this?
>>
>>29019746
Just look for a honda dealer that has one. I hope you like black because it's the only color it comes in now.
Or you could get one used. I got mine new for a pretty good price.
>>
>>29019748
>I hope you like black because it's the only color it comes in now.
just take the plastics off and rattle can them ?
>>
>>29019749
Yeah you could but if you buy a new bike you'd hope it's already the color you want.
>>
>>29019719
Because im a new rider and sometimes roads are way more slippery than you expect if it hasnt rained in a while. It lets you change the level of traction control, throttle power, AND engine braking which sounds really fuckin cool to me. Lower engine braking would be better for travelling long distances or relaxed commuting while more drastic could be for joyriding or navigating traffic
I think part of what made me lost interest in the scrambler is that I cant turn off the ABS. And nearly all the other scramblers seemed to have reliability issues or maybe I just didnt like too, cant remember, plus the seat height is higher. I kinda gave up on looking for beginner bikes that had offroad capability that I liked. I especially wanted something that would be decent in a highway. I think id put an aftermarket windscreen on a rebel 1100
>>29019722
I guess you could get a cheap Bluetooth device just to have play and pause and next previous buttons and mount it

oml
>>
>>29019748
i like the green one doe...
>>
>>29019755
Rain mode is not needed. I ride in the rain all the time and I have never thought "wow I wish my bike had a rain mode to gimp it for me"
You're saying you don't want ABS but also want far more invasive electronic controls. ABS is probably the least offensive thing you could have and it might save your retarded ass since you don't know how to ride or brake correctly yet.
What do you have against ABS? It's a cruiser. There's no reason to not have ABS.

>>29019761
Find a 2024 or 2023 then. They aren't that hard to find. You just can't get a new one thats green.
>>
>>29019751
ok then just get like 900 sheets of teachers' stickers and slap it
>>
>>29019766
I guess. If that's what you want.
>>
>>29019759
Yes because I wanted the scrambler for being better for offroad or dirt roads. With ABS forced on it can be dangerous on gravel and mud and shit. So I just gave up on offroad. Plus the traction control can be shut off. There is no launch control but you can adjust the sensitivity of throttle. And engine braking. And that just sounds good to me for focusing on riding on the street as a beginner with a overpowered bike so I can later turn all that off or down and have a more powerful bike without having to blow more money

But the scl500 does tempt me i might just go with that when I finally try them and should probably stop overthinking all this at this point
>>
>>29019765
>>29019768
>>
>>29019768
I just ride an underpowered piece of shit and adjust my clutch/throttle/air mix/etc with a screwdriver

when i find i have too little traction on gravel or tamped dirt i just don't be too retarded (a little retarded is fine, as a treat)
>>
>>29019768
The ABS turns itself off until you remove the key if the back wheel starts spinning out. The thing just knows if it's off road.
You will probably never take it off road. Neither of these bikes are great on trails. The scrambler is just more competent on them than a normal cruiser so you can comfortably take it on dirt roads and shit. No bike is great for everything.
>>
>>29019768
You know you can just take out the abs fuse whenever you go off-roading right?
>>
>>29019773
Doesnt abs make it impossible or janky to try slide the back wheel out?
If I cant do that then fuck it
Thats why I was looking at triumph 400 x but then I found they randomly stall out and FUCK THAT
>>
>>29019777
maybe just don't get a bike with a million assists you can't turn off if you want to do hektik skids and die
>>
>>29019774
>>29019775
Hmm....... ok this really makes me think
>>
>>29019781
I think if you want to go off road you shouldn't be exclusively looking at street focused bikes.
>>
>>29019781
What was the original question? And in 30 words or less.
>>
>>29019783
I was talking about why I originally was looking at the honda scrambler
And between that forcing abs on and other low end scramblers and dual sports having reliability problems i just gave up on all that
>>29019775
This could disable abs on the front wheel too which apparently you don't want to do...
>>29019785
I had a question? Idk

I really don't know. Must be an absolute fossil if its still up. CRASH was the helmet testing outfit down in Oz, but it's been subsumed into MotoCAP.

Rain mode is not for rain. It’s a name for a power mode that means “beginner mode” but no one wants to say they’re riding beginner mode so they say they’re riding in rain mode. Basically, even though my only experience is a 300cc, I can skip over middle weight bikes and straight to a liter bike because I’m going to put the liter bike in rain mode for a few months as an intermediate point between my previous bike and the fullness of the new bike while I get used to it. That way I’m not buying a middle weight bike and then exchanging it the next season for a new bike *again*

I ride my Vespa 310cc on i495 all the time. It’s fun because I just keep up with traffic by wringing it out, constantly riding at the maximum it feels so intense dude I love it

>all the rubber and fluids aside from oil are original
He's asking $3,500 for the bike. Would I be a dick to ask him to reduce his price by the parts cost for all the new brake, coolant, fuel lines? He says they look fine, and the bike is so immaculate they probably are, but they're 20 years overdue for replacement according to the manuals. Is rubber longer lasting if it hasn't been ridden hard or exposed to sunlight that much?
>>
>>29019829
Wouldn't hurt to ask for 3000
If he say no then stick to 35

>20 year old fluids
Iirc old ass coolant turns acidic and can degrade seals. Old brake fluid will boil at a lower temp and reduce or even disable braking. He failed to do his maintenece and expects you to pay for it.

they can easily make this
take the new SV7GX
take off the GX fairing
bolt on the same suspension from the GSX8
slap square headlight cowl on it
there you get SV700 katana
Suzuki doesnt even have to make anything new beside new plastic fairing
