Bed capacity of an American pickup in reality: one bucket, give or take
>>
this jackass thinks a "bucket" is a standard unit of measurement or something

Cubic yard is precise, "bucket" is not.
>>
One time I moved a full pallet of plastic board flooring for muh house from menards and broke my leaf springs on one side and didnt notice until the broken leaf swung out and grooved my chineasium tire. It was pretty bad ass.

cubic yard of rocks or cubic yard of feathers
>>
you're not supposed to fucking load dirt and rocks into a fucking body-bed you're supposed to get a 1 tonne with walled-in bed ideally with a hydraulic dumper.
at this rate why even fucking bother, you probably drove over 20 miles for that shit, what a waste of fucking time.
if you have a 6 ft bed you should just pay a fucker to dump for you.

Aren't you supposed to load dirt in trucks with these?
My father and I never had dirt dumped directly into the bed of any of our trucks.
>>
>>29020323
This, OP is retarded.
>>
>>29020323
You can I guess. I've only used those for raking leaves around the house.
If you've got a bed liner you just shovel away.
I fill the bed up with sand or crushed rock several times a year and it's just like that pic, I pay then they use a loader tractor like that pic above and dump it in.
>>
>>29020291
I can't believe I have to explain the joke. American trucks are built for work, which means you can comically overload them and they still work fine.

>>29020315
>you're supposed to get a 1 tonne with walled-in bed ideally with a hydraulic dumper
Yeah I'm not going to pay for that when I can just roll up and do it.
>you probably drove over 20 miles for that shit
Somewhere between 3 and 4, but good guess.

>>29020323
Those are great if you have something capable of hooking to the straps and hoisting the bag out. I don't. I have a shovel.

I thought the other rednecks here could have a funny and post similar pictures but I guess you guys haven't gotten off work yet and are still sober

I'm the guy above who also just loads and shovels. Don't have any pics of the bed loaded, Martha here will have to suffice.
>>
>>29020346
I just use my dumper trailer like a regular person. I’m not brown enough to shovel shit out of a bed.

Ya but you can never quite get all the dirt of rocks out of the bed that way.

Somewhere around 1970 I went with Dad to get gravel twice over a couple years or so. First time he used grampa's '64 C10 long bed stepside and the second he'd bought a '67 C10 long bed fleetside. Both were 6 cylinder three-on-the-tree trucks. I didn't like the noise and jostling around when being loaded. Seemed a bit extreme to want to do to your car. They were noticeably heavy on the way home but didn't seem to be struggling either. picrel is a reasonable approximation of grampa's. It didn't have the stake sides or the tool box and had a searchlight mounted in the roof at the middle

Anon, I refuse to believe you are 56years old.
Also, my father also owns a 64 C10 funny enough.
Long bed fleet side, like God intended.

It's not that you should or shouldn't, as the only real negative to doing so is the unsightly mess it makes, but it's more the fact that unless wherever you're getting your aggregate or sand from doesn't offer it bagged, there's no good reason to choose to have it loose in the bed. You don't need to hoist it using the straps as OP says here >>29020346, you can quite easily shovel it out of the bag until about 1/5 remains, then drag the rest off the back by hand and turn what remains upside down onto the floor - it's what we do when we get bagged sand in the back of our van.

Good, because you won't believe the real age either. I'm also not the oldest regular on /o/

Remember, you are here forever

Just haul it in your dumptruck...

You do have a dumptruck don't you?
>>
kek this guy pays for dirt meanwhile he could just get it for free from his neighbors backyard
>>
>>29020346
>which means you can comically overload them and they still work fine
not true my man, burger trucks are made for comfort meaning very thin and long leaf springs in the rear.
compare that to leaf packs of trucks that are actually made for overloading, even small hilux has 7 leaf pack landcruiser ones looks like it's from railroad car. ride is horrible tho, it's like riding empty dump truck, no american would go through that torture in daily car.
>>
>>29020748
They have a dumb truck, LMAOOO
>>
>>29020811
nta, I'm >>29020340
Mine "only" has a towing capacity of 18,100 lbs. 5th wheel setup, too. I'll dump in yards of gravel and shovel 'em out all I want.
>>
>but what about the americans?
>>
>>29020289
>>29020323
>>29020337
yeah why the fuck is the hatch down too?
i throw a tarp over my bed when i pickup soil or mulch. shit is a pain to clean out afterwards if I dont. and no, i dont like riding with a bunch of smelly mulch scraps in the bed either.
plus its easy to dump the remaining shit by yanking the tarp out.
and why the fuck is your hatch down op?
>>
>>29020607
Well tbf if he’s Mexican that just means hes in his 50s
>>
