How are the 6 cylinders in these? Obviously I'd want the LS V8 and I've heard the 4 cylinders are pretty good; but all the ones I'm finding near me are the V6s.

Camaro would be cool if you could see out of it. you need a fucking periscope to see past that beltline, something benchracers can't appreciate.
>>
>>29020520
The only people who buy the CVT aka the SUBARU PERFORMANCE TRANSMISSION probably have disability tags for a head injury.
>>
>>29020587
Im a manlet and i can see out of mine
>>
>>29020590
Yeah, maybe the sky. WRX has much higher seating position, for better or for worse, which yields you *very* good visibility. Used to have a Mustang GT s550, has the same problem as the Camaro which is famously worse. It's just something you have to experience to understand.

>>29020506
Stock tune is limp sock, you need a warranty delete to make it a 'fun' car.

That panoramic view does not accurately capture what you, the driver, actually see. The WRX might as well be the fucking space needle compared to the tank-like slit windows you have.
>>
>>29020600
That is what a typical human field of view looks like.
>slit windows
You don't need to see the sky when you're driving
You DO need to see the ground in some situations like when you're parking near a curb, and for that the camaro is very unfortunate.
I'm not defending poor visibility but people are really exaggerating things. this is a production car by chevy that sold in the hundreds of thousands.
>>
>>29020603
>production car that chevy sold by the thousands
Fair enough, I am probably exaggerating for dramatic effect, you aren't actually Helen Keller-mode when you drive your Camaro, but it's just like piping up 'wow Camaro is so much better with handling' than a WRX is also exaggerating, the nigga can grip with that AWD, esp with mods. I'm not saying you can't drive it, or get used to the shit visibility, but I am saying that there's advantages to a higher riding position and far fewer blind spots. Being able to see where you want to go lets you drive confidently vs just going YOLO. Even shit like how long your hood is (mustang has the same problem) can make shit annoying. As far as seeing the sky, you *do* need to see lights, signs, etc.
>>
>>29020608
I would say most car enthusiasts consider looks, sound, and power as dealbreakers, not visibility.
The obvious suggestion is to test drive both and see.
If you dont have kids or grandkids to drive around then i see no reason to get a WRX over a camaro or mustang or even challenger.
(of course if you do have kids then my preference is a charger or 300 lel)

Yeah, I agree on power and sound, but it's not like the car out of the dealer lot is the car you're stuck with, especially with a famous tuner platform like the WRX; tons of aftermarket mods to totally transform the vehicle performance wise, as well as supporting mods to keep the engine from going nippon banzai. Already had my pony car, and while it was a prettier car, it's not really the best car for midwest ice storms.

I have no doubt in my mind a 1LE would just dab on me, but you could mod a Camaro the same way to overcome that, ship of theseus style, if you replace enough parts with race car parts, it starts to resemble a race car.

I have a prius for when I want to drive some bitch basic shit that is absolutely quiet and gets great mileage.

a AWD sedan is much more practical if it's your only car, I would only get a two door sports/muscle as a second car. unless you have no family no friends and no possessions and live in a warm climate

I have a feeling Toyota is trying to keep it off of the production lines as to not cannibalize GR Corolla sales

I actually called this out in nerd forums years ago, I'm positive that Toyota want the WRX and GR Corolla to take turns with the spotlight, but not trying to kill Subaru

>>
>>29021425
I won't be interested in the GR Corolla unless Toyota puts its shiny new 4cyl in it and they probably won't so I won't be interested
>>
>>29021452
I don't mind if people say GRC is not for them. Hot Corollas are usually one offs and this one is basically a frankencar made with donor parts as a science experiment. I'm interested in seeing what the Celica will look like, it's almost guaranteed it'll be using G20E + GR Four. I can't possibly imagine how it will look distinct from GR86 mk3, Supra mk6, and GR GT other than the size.
