Every major auto manufacturer is collecting and selling your personal information through the head unit of your NEW vehicle.

>According to Mozilla research, popular global brands — including BMW, Ford, Toyota, Tesla, Kia, and Subaru — can collect deeply personal data such as sexual activity, immigration status, race, facial expressions, weight, health and genetic information, and where you drive. Researchers found data is being gathered by sensors, microphones, cameras, and the phones and devices drivers connect to their cars, as well as by car apps, company websites, dealerships, and vehicle telematics.

You should not under any circumstance connect your cell phone to a vehicle's head unit over bluetooth or USB cable. And in some brands you will also need to pull the fuse for their onboard cell connection devices. GM specifically with their OnStar service got fined in court for collecting and selling data without informing customers at all.

Removing fuses and getting space blankets in all the body panels and then one more layer in the car interior is the way to go
