I'm gonna paint my entire van but it needs a lot of work. The huge side panels have an issue: they're wobbly. Like, I press on the metal and it pops inwards and stays that way. Then I can pop it back out from the inside. How the hell do I apply body filler on a metal panel that keeps warping like that?I already did it once and - you guessed it - the bondo started cracking. Are you supposed to put so much bondo that it keeps the metal in place?
Is there any way you can put braces/brackets on the inside so the body panels don’t warp like that? That’s the only way I can think of that might prevent the bondo from cracking
I think the term is "oil canning" - dent popping in and outDunno if it can be fixed with anything other than blasting the metal with a heat gunWhich you probably dont wanna do if you've already painted / primed the area

I've removed all the upholstery / plywood walls.I'd rather not do the heat gun thing because I've already put one layer of bondo on the outside.
