Yep it was one of the cars

Only a tranny would drive a wagon. Either buy your SUV cuckbox that you clearly want or buy a truck.

Probably calls to you, doesn't it?

i have a saab 92x aero isnt this a downgrade?

Gay.

Of you're going to drive a sedan, why not fill that extra dead space above the truck with something? Otherwise you're sacrificing storage space and versatility exclusively for looks. And that makes you gay

But I don't want an SUV, I want a low ride height.

I test drove one years ago. On paper it looked perfect, but I was very disappointed when I drove it. It felt like a tin can when I drove it-- lots of wind noise, poor interior build quality, just generally not impressed. I cross shopped it against a Saab 9-2X, E39 wagon, and ended up buying a V50 T5.

Actually, after writing all this, I just remember it was a Forester XT that I looked at, not the Legacy Outback. The Legacy is too big. Not interested.

I have a stock 2004 WRX. I had the timing belt done back in July 2017.

Since then I have driven it maybe 20000km (borderline hikikimori with no friends or social life). Do I really need to get the timing belt and all that done next year?
>>

probably. especially if not daily driven even short distances to keep the timing belt pliant. Just sitting there temperature cycling for weeks at a time in the same position is why they tell you both time or miles are when you get them serviced.

Subarus will run forever, but are very intolerant of lax service habits.

Yeah it was mostly short distances for work/church then covid lockdowns and periods where I only drove it once a week.

Probably did 10k of that driving though this past year

You want to drive a Subaru Baja

i dunno, dude. you've gotten so far so well, would be a shame if you had a stretched belt/jumped tooth on a power pull be the end of the story. Risking a full valve job seems....dum

I think before I had it done the previous owner didn't get it done at all. So basically went from 2004 to 2017 without having it done, think I've got some time lol
