I just bought a Tesla. What am I in for Aut/o/?
Now that you’re in too deep on a lease, let me (a miat guy) tell you about Tesla’s “dyno mode.”You input a sequence of buttons on the screen and it turns all drivers aids and throttle smoothing off so you can convert that electricity into tire smoke as quickly as possible.
>>29025944This just sent me down a rabbit hole that has me needing to purchase a s3xy button to enable off road assist, which disables traction control so then I can drift in the winter in this AWD model
>>29025980I hate teslas, but if you have one you might as well enjoy it.Stay safe, you learn from baby steps, only push the limit tiny amounts at a time.
>>29025944All the useless nannies are off! Yay!
>>29025936>>29025944>>29025980>>29025987>>29026024EVs are Gay bro
>>29025936Don't drive like you're 85, use that electric to take initiative. As a shitbox commuter driver there's few things more frustrating than seeing drivers that underutilize their potential.Every time I'm at a red light adjacent to a Tesla in my 120hp economy special and then just walk away from them on the green I wonder why they paid for it of they aren't going to use it.
>>29026029I don't choose the car I drive based on looks or sexuality. I'm a straight white male and not insecure about matters related to the penis. Grow up
>>29026035I've been pondering this during my drives in mine over the last few days. I have the long range model with the acceleration package which puts 0-60 at like 3.5 secs and it's insane how fast that really is when you're behind the wheel. Every Tesla I have ever seen on the road has driven like a grandma. Where are the people taking advantage of the power? This thing drives like a gocart on the road, it's fun
>>29026029Teslas don't use gas so they aren't gay.
>>29026055I drive a ICEV sports car and a fair number of teslas mash the gas at red lights next to me
>>29025936well considering elon musk uses twitter to gang stalk me and once my star link equip subaru tried to kill me you can expect elon and (((frens))) to listen to you whenever they want, kill you any time, or whatever evil shit they want to do to you
>>29026055> Every Tesla I have ever seen on the road has driven like a grandma. Where are the people taking advantage of the power?Same, I live in one of the wealthiest areas for hours around. I see so many Teslas. I have never once seen a Tesla accelerate more than what I’d call “2/10.” I always out accelerate them in my 140hp shitbox when I’m driving normally with like 15% throttle. Not fucking once have I seen one go at more than a leisurely pace. What’s the point?
>>29025936>no resale value>driving it like a grandma because actually using the power will destroy your $2k+ tires
>>29026176They buy them for comfort, not for being mad drivers
>>29026251You could say that about 98% of cars. Only Tesla and Tessiesisters brag fairly often about acceleration, but they don't do it.If they just say "it's what I wanted," or "I think it's comfortable and relaxing" that's totally fine. But they frequently go into rants about how electricity is magic free energy and how quickly they can accelerate.
Used Teslas are the best value in the auto world right now. You can get a 2-3 year old Model 3 for 50% off MSRP. Mileage doesn't matter. You get modern features for under $25k. The downside is that single females really don't like them. Dating apps are full of "don't bother swiping if you own a Tesla" blah blah blah
>>29025936if you bought a used Tesla and can charge it off a 240v outlet at home instead of paying for fast charging, you're in for excellent cost of ownership but the experience will be otherwise mediocre
>>2902681935 and picky, hilarious
>>29026829They pretend to be picky.
>>29026829if they weren't picky they wouldn't be on bumble at age 39 (actual)
>>29025936You wonTesla is the best EV brand on the market
>>29026822Electrician is coming by tomorrow to install that 240v 50amp circuit tomorrow morning for $320
Don't forget to buy one of these.
>>29025936I'm renting a tesler in about a weeks time. I've driven them before on a test drive a good while back out of sheer curiosity. All I know now is that there are no stalks on the wheel and with buttons instead. It's being labeled as a "short range" so I'm guessing a base model Any teslafags here? I'll be driving it for about 3 days aka about 500 milesish. Pic rel
>>29027405You'll make at least one stop at a supercharger for a single 500mile trip
>>29027405if you want an experience closer to a regular car, use chill mode.
Spontaneous combustion and ensuing death.
>>29025936you scew up big time op, please tell me you didn't finance it too.
>>29027487Yea looks like I'll make two at the minimum from my part of FL down more south I did download the handy dandy tesla app (and make an acct) and it says 1 charge stop but I'm going to anticipate 2 one way at most 5 if need be. The hotel I'm at does have Free EV charging so that's a bonus. I'm going to guess it's about the same as gas not holding my breath.>>29027487 I've only test driven them but I assume they are not in chill mode. I drive a Killed In Action soul so I'd like some more pep to my step desu
