im selling got a 1994 chevy 1500 exactly like pic for $4000 or better offer.
>ive had three people show up low ball me nitpick at mechanical details on a 30-year-old car.
>and the last two I believe were incompetent retards that made convinced me on keeping this truck
>>
I've literally never sold a car I either total them or drive them into the ground and trade it to my mechanic for free labor on my next car
>>
>>29025983
>buyer number one.
shows up everything starts off good, hes looking at it and tells me its clean, I tell him yea its good it's got 188,000 miles its going to need an ac recharge since its low on freon but the compressor is working since it blows air its just not cold.
>oh annon ive had a similar issue with my trucks for my company they are all gmt400/gmt800 platforms.
right there i saw right through him he is going to flip this truck.
>anon whats your lowest.
3600 bud
>test drive.
after test drive ooh anon its good and all but you know the ac and the fact that it still hasnt reached operating temperature after the drive blah blah blah ive got trucks similar to this one and mechanical work is expensive yadayada one of my trucks has blown head gaskets i could fix that truck for what your asking price on this truck.
>would you accept $2500.
no have a good day sir
>>
>>29025983
dear god that poor suspension
>>
>buying miat from old lady
>I ask her asking price
>$4k, similar cars are selling over twice that
>I start whipping out my checkbook
>”No no, sweetie, take it for a week, take it to a mechanic”
>Find plenty of minor issues, fewer than I had expected
>Wrote her a check for full asking price and didn’t try negotiating anything
Sometimes things go smoothly and everyone involved is nice to each other.
>>
>go check out a GMT800 thats for sale.
>f xourse its some mexican speaking in broken english.
>truck is beanered out- lowered, excessive chrome
>bed and cab arent even aligned
>tell him its not worth $4k and offer fair market value of $2,600.
>decide its not worth my time and leave.
>>
>>29026001
>>29025991
>>29025983
in ten minutes after he left the trucks needle gauge tempature rose to the middle.
>buyer number 2 the dumbest of them all.
btw he is still messaging me to meet up tomorrow begging me not to cancel the dmv appointment.
but he shows up looks at it starts the usual nitpicking and saying he looked at another truck.
>well how long have you had it anon.
well its been two months two months since i bought from its owner the third owner on title signed by him.
>oh, so you never registered it anon so why are you selling it then why did you buy it in the first place, man this is sketchy can get the vin.
go ahead, i am not hiding anything we can test drive it inside the neighborhood.
>no no no this is so sketchy blah blah.
message's me back i guess he ran the vin and saw that I was not lying, and the truck was not in any accidents but i ignore him since i had other buyers.
he then shows up knocking on my door with his friend asking about the whole dmv dilemma low balling me for 3000 and to get it inspected.

>i dont know how the fuck i kept my cool i was real close to beating the fuck out of him in broad day light.
>>
>>29026014
the one i am selling is not lowered its stock ride height
>>
>>29026022
>exactly like pic
ESL confirmed.

Maybe the buyers just dont want to deal with YOU.
>>
>>29026018
>two months since i bought
>hasnt transfered ownership
Thats illegal BTW.
Some states/counties have as low as a 7 day requirement, max is 30 days (states like Texas and New York)
California is 10 days.
>>
>>29026018
Dude, is your truck not even registered? Also recharge the fucking AC and fix any other small mechanical items if it ain't too much. I don't understand why some people just list something with an easy cheap fix and then refuse to fix it for the sale.
>>
>>29026045
Because its not "an easy cheap fix".
If its low on freon its because theres a leak.
He doesnt want to charge it because it will leak oit before the next sucker comes to inspect it and he'll be out more money.
Hes owned it for 2 months and is trying to sell it- that says all I need to know.
>>
>>29025983
if you raised it 2" white people would show up instead.
>>
>>29026063
Like $40 at Wal-Mart for a can. But yeah I get your point.
>>
>>29026069
Kek
>>
>>29026001
>checkbook
Lel
>>
>>29026123
How the fuck do you buy a car? I ordered a checkbook just to do that.
>>
>types like a retard
>flipping it after 2 months
I would not purchase this vehicle
>>
>>29026018
>>oh, so you never registered it anon

sketchy or flipper, take your pick
>>
>>29025983

For 3.6k USD I'd have a hard time not buying that thing.

Teleport it to Finland and you have a deal.
>>
>>29025983
It's a 4x2 isn't it?
>>
Another boomer incapable of realizing they ruined the economy and their shitbox isn't worth what they think it is. Sorry, sweatie. Inflation does not affect backyard used car sales.
>>
>>29026143
$4,000 is the bare minimum for a functioning car without an obvious issue these days. Bare minimum, and many people really love GMT400s.
People don’t have to give you their stuff, but that’s actually a really low asking price.
>>

16 KB JPG
>>29025983
Get it registered with the DMV already anon.
You are creating weird situations for no reason.
Fix the AC, it's not hard.
Also, list the price at $7,500 and accept $4,000 so retards think they got a deal.
I've had to double the price on cars to sell them.
It's weird, but when dealing with brown retards, different methods are needed.
Can't act like a white man when dealing with the Shit Skins.
>>
>>29026181
it's the same thought process behind buying something with FREE shipping (!!!). most people get excited, hell, even i do, at seeing that, even though i know the p&h is baked into the price of everything they sell from the get-go.
>>
>>29025983
>3/4ths dead chevy from 1994
>$4k obo
You're out of your fucking mind OP.
>>
>>29026254
Oh man itngets even better as I read the thread
>had it for two months, never got the title transfered or registered the car(ILLEGAL)
>almost 200k miles
>this nigga still wants 4k firm for what's probably a rusty shitpit.
>>
>>29026162
And it because you, and every other retard like you thinks just because you see the words "inflation" on tv you take it as open season to use it as an excuse to charge ridiculous prices for your old, rusty tin can. I find it odd how you people would rather see it rot away than just get rid of it.
>>
>>29026266
I have never been like that. You're taking a wild leap. I sell my cars within a week or even a day sometimes.
I just don't think that asking $4K for a functioning truck that lots of people like is too much at all.
People want things for free and get upset when they realize that they aren't.
>>
>>29026018
Don't censor names.
I need to know if we're shitting on indian lowballers or white lowballers.

Despite what these other anons are saying, I like low-er trucks because I'd use it for loading bikes, and not offroading.
>>
>>29026018
>the trucks needle gauge tempature rose to the middle.
That's not even fucking ESL. What really posted this shit, Ai?
>>
>>29026276
4k is a lot of money for a blown out 94 chevy pickup with almost 200k miles on it with no paper trail for maintenance.

Thats a fucking 30 year old work truck anon.
>>
>>29026298
>4k is a lot of money for a blown out 94 chevy pickup with almost 200k miles on it with no paper trail for maintenance.
It really isn't unless there's structural rust.
>>
>>29026298
I'm >>29026300.
Yeah, the whole "floating the title" thing is a no-go. But the $4k part seems reasonable.
I don't remember what I sold my '98 Suburban for a decade ago, it was more than $5k for sure and they've only been increasing in popularity since as supply dwindles.
Easy to work on, cheap parts, very utilitarian. The 4L60e transmission can burn in hell.
>>
>Bought a Cadi from an old man
>He calls me every “anniversary” - the day of purchase - to ask if everything is fine
>Car long died the Northstar death
>”Hey Mr. Jefferson, yeah she’s a stout lady, running like a NASCAR”

She was fun while lasted… Miss her every day.

OP is trying to sell a single cab shortbed gasser. It's a fucking useless CuckTruck. Just buy a sedan or 90s Honda Accord wagon if you want to be a gas baby.
>>
>>29026304
I guarantee its not a $4k truck.
OP even talked shit about
>right there i saw right through him he is going to flip this truck.
On a truck he himself never registered after 2 months and is trying to sell (after only 2 months).
And
>starts the usual nitpicking
Notice how he glazed over all the broken shit a potential buyer noticed without further comment.

OP is just another border jumping scumbag thats trying to make money off doing nothing and leave the next guy holding the bag.

>It's a fucking useless CuckTruck
It's not useless, retard, it's merely priced incorrectly.

That truck CAN do work, unlike the $80,000 show trucks that fags like you prefer.

>Honey!!!! Someone dinged me today at the Racquetball club
>>
>>29026384
Is lying to him really wholesome?
It seems more and more these days people are saying stuff like that, where as I feel like I'd rather people be honest with me than lie to me to try and make me feel better.
Especially about shit that leaves a trail and sends people on wild goose chases if someone tries to research it later on, creating confusion and misinformation.

So OP, please answer
>how much did you pay for the truck
>why are you selling it after only a couple months
>why did you never transfer the title/etc
>>
>>29025983
No one has money to spend nowadays and it will only get worse going forward.
>>
File deleted.
>>29026451
Nigger I buy only rusty diesels with long beds. I spray paint decals on it for fun.
>>
>>29025983
It's even worse trying to sell parts.

>have a set of aftermarket wheels that retail for about $200 each listed on jewbook at $20 each because they came with a car that I returned to OEM spec
>250,000 "is this available" messages that never respond when I say yes
>50,000 "what size" "will this fit my ___" messages when the TITLE OF THE LISTING HAS THE SIZE AND BOLT PATTERN
After 3 months I drove to the nearest place with a dumpster and threw them in
>>
>>29026298
I hate to break it to you, but 4k really isn't much money these days...
>>
>>29025983
I experienced the same thing selling my old Chevy a couple years ago. Flipper scum showing up trying to lowball me.
>>
>>29026298
>4k is a lot of money for a blown out 94 chevy pickup with almost 200k miles on it with no paper trail for maintenance.
No it isn't. You literally cannot find a usable old truck for under $3k, expecially something like a GMT400, which are the next squarebody (meme truck with stupid prices that makes tacoma tax look cheap)
>>
>>29025991
the a/c compressor doesn't compress air to blow out the vents, that air comes from the same blower fan that throws hot air at you in the winter.
>>
>>29026587
Buyer probably heard his excuse on that one and noped the fuck out.
If a seller is that much of an idiot then nothing he says about the truck is accurate and its best to just find something else.
>>
>>29026617
this. If you tell me the AC just needs a recharge I know you're mechanically illiterate and will shuffle off unless it's a good deal because I'm guaranteed to find something else wrong that you were clueless about. If you tell me the fact that the HVAC still moves air means the compressor is good I'm out of here because you're either clueless or trying to snow me.
>>
>>29026276
>butthurt flipper mad that nobody is giving him money
FREEDUMB ISN'T FREE U KNOW
>>
>>29026551
Quit smoking crack. Its not even a square-body and now that the boomer car-hoarders are dying it will lose more value. Suck it up, fucko
Whoever invented captcha needs to be skinned alive and fed to cockroaches
>>
>>29026707
>its not even a square-body
I didn't say it is, retard child. I said it's the NEXT squarebody

>now that the boomer car-hoarders are dying it will lose more value
Used car values, even collector cars, haven't dropped at all in the past 2 years. And boomers have no interest in 90s cars it's millennials.

>has trouble with the new captchas
confirmed retard.
>>
>>29026709
>. I said it's the NEXT squarebody
So now we're doing "NSB"
Just as dumb as "OBS".
>>
>>29026772
shut up retard. People who can't solve a captcha should be culled
>>
>>29026038
title floating or whatever it's called is a plague around here.
the other thing that's a plague is morons who let the registration expire and now the new buyer will have to pay like $1k or some shit at the DMV, and/or they lost the title. I really don't understand that one, I have two motorcycles and two cars and I know where all four titles are right now. I could go get them in 5 minutes if I need to. but grown ass adults can't keep track of their paperwork because they're 80IQ mouthbreathers.

instead they want to make the buyer get a new title when it would be much easier for everyone involved if the current owner just got a replacement.
>>
>>29026866
IME, lost title usually means the person selling it doesn't really have a legal claim to the vehicle but they're selling it anyway. Most of the time drugs figure into the backstory.
>>
>>29026885
Ill agree with that, mostly.
But a lot of times the "lost title" is some piece of shit nobody cares about.
I bought a ranger (for 200 bucks) that the guy bought as a parts truck and lost interest on the project. He got it from a blueberry farm (people he knew) that was going to send it to the crusher. Nobody expected it to be resurrected so nobody gave a shit about paperwork.

I got assblasted recently on a vehicle ive owned since 1999 (ya im fucking old).
Ive lived in 7 states since then and have titles for all kinds of shit but couldnt find the title for that one so had to get statements from 2 others state's DMVs that there were no leins on it.
Its a God damn 1989 model....
>>
>>29026544
4k is still too much fucking money for a beat to shit 94 with almost 200k miles on it.
>>
OP still hasn't said if the truck is a 4x4 or not. I'm pretty sure he's getting gyp'd because it's a 4x2 and nobody wants those.
>>
>>29027214
Op isn't getting gypped, he's the nigger trying to sell a (probably stolen) nearly dead shit pit.
>>
>>29027214
It doesn't need 4x4 to sell.

>I've literally never sold a car I either total them or drive them into the ground
Same here, I am always the final owner of a clean title car, the only time I ever sell a car is to an insurance company when their driver smashes into it

It's always the same type of driver too.
>female
>18-22
>addicted to cell phone

I'm convinced most people hate driving and would surrender the wheel if they could have an automated pod that makes them feel rich or lets them be distracted to their heart's content.

If autonomous driving ever matures enough to never need a driver, people will fill that time probably working during their commute, because that's how normies do things for some fucking reason when they overextend their finances.
>>
>>29026181
>I've had to double the price on cars to sell them.
>It's weird, but when dealing with brown retards, different methods are needed.
It's the same mentality with luxury brands. The goods themselves are no more valuable than a conventional counterpart on merit or utility, but it's a showcase of wealth to be able to waste money on a whim.

<$5k is now considered shitbox tier that is one pothole away from being scrapped. Price it higher and people think the car is okay, regardless of mechanical merit. This is how people get burned on used cars if they buy solely on price, and most do.
>>
>>29025991
>the compressor is working since it blows air its just not cold.
You shouldn't be allowed to vote
>>
>>29027211
Depends on options and drivetrain combo more than anything. I'd drop more than that on any pre 2000ish vehicle I liked if it was what I was looking for.
>oh noes 200k miles!
Yawn a real nothingburger...
>>
>>29025983
I've been buying cars for under 500 dollars all day long, im about to go pick up a 2000 XJ for 300 dollars, and the last XJ before that was free
>>
>>29027648
Nobody gives a shit about your dumpster finds.
Why is every single fucking post you make "look ar me, look at me!!"? thats unrelated to the topic?
>>
>>29027648
>2000 XJ for 300 dollars
That's about the value of the steel, aluminum, catalytic converter, and the wiring loom.
