>>29029460MINARELLI PRIMO PAPA
>>29029446Why are Guzzi allergic to making sportsbikes? Or anything even remotely sporty? The sportiest they ever got was heavy, long and 90hp.
>>29029512What? The biggest issue with gucci bikes is that they're all too sporty for what they're supposed to be. Big HP numbers aren't the only metric that matters on a sports bike.
>>29029512The V100 is a sports-tourer and the closest thing currently to a sports bike.
>>29028814I'm on the short side, 5'9 (175cm), but I also have an unusually short inseam for a man my height (28"). I found the Pan America and the V100 both very comfortable. I'm used to not being able to put both feet down, I haven't been able to do that since my first motorcycle.>>29029257>another hand tool before the torque wrenchlmfao i've been there, destroyed a nice scope this way once, learned my lesson>>29029512Sportsbike guys are just like cruiser guys, but they don't see it. They think every bike is better when it gets more sportsbikey, and think deep down when someone is riding a non sportsbike that they're having a laugh or have made some kind of mistake.
>>29029498See for me, a Brit, there is nothing I would be more excited to do than ride Canada and USA, it's on my bucket list! Still, as far as hotel suite views go....this one ain't bad!
>>29029541>Sportsbike guys are just like cruiser guys, but they don't see it. They think every bike is better when it gets more sportsbikey, and think deep down when someone is riding a non sportsbike that they're having a laugh or have made some kind of mistake. The problem with a weak bike is you get all the vulnerability without the freedom. A few of the variables used to calculate freedom are velocity, acceleration, range. Anything that reduces any of those variables lowers freedom. Id show you the full equation but you wouldn't understand it since you speak in cuck terms like "they think" and "deep down".
>>29029544lmfao very nice example
>>29029544>A few of the variables used to calculate freedom are velocity, acceleration, rangewhat an extremely american understanding of freedom. it doesn’t take a very sporty bike to be faster than anything else on the road and anything beyond that does not meaningfully increase freedom.
>>29029613The government puts a speed limiter on your car/cuckbike, they have lowered your maximum attainable velocity this lowers your freedom. Next example, your government says your bike pollutes too much, so now you have to run cuck cams, long as fuck stroke, no rpm and no fuel, your maximum acceleration has been reduced. Next example, this one is much more insidious, some one or some group of people are responsible for reducing the size of every single fuel tank on every modern bike. This is a reduction in your overall range and therefore a reduction of freedom. Europoors look right past this because you're all frogs in a boiling pot of water you don't care about anything kek. Like what is freedom to you? Lack of nigggers? You got that down but like idk, what else?
>>29029629Freedom is the ability to act as one ought

>>29029930I've always wandered what a brit actually thinks of France. you know given the history and the jokes and all. Personally I think France is the heart of europe, even though London is more influential culturally. But it's so diverse in architecture, landscape. And beauty has been greatly respected. I haven't been outside London desu, but immaturely judging based on that and what I have seen from pop culture Britain seems more utilitarian and monochrome in nature.

>>29029948Ride your motorcycle to work, retard
>>29029948>>29029950first of all, this.second of all, do you have weekends? vacations?third of all maybe look for a different job.
>>29029950I did last week but it's a really bland ride over quite a long distance, it's just putting miles on the bike and wearing down my knobblies for no real gain.
>>29029953the gain is you get to ride your bikeany ride on a motorcycle is better than any drive in a car
>>29029951I do have weekends but I usually get yanked into doing things for other people which is extremely annoying, I do try to get out and ride then otherwise.I'm booked the whole of next week off so I'm hoping I'll get a good chance to get some riding in then, but I've had loads of free time after work most days but I'm just too fucking spent to ride.I think maybe I'm sick and I just don't realise it, I'm so tired all the time.
>>29029954Yeah maybe you're right, the last mile is down a loose gravel trail which is kinda fun, powersliding around the corners is pretty rad.
>>29029956The way people talk about bland rides reminds me of the way people who are about to dump their girlfriends talk about falling out of love. Every ride is not a thrill. When you're with a woman for a long time, love doesn't feel the same as when you're young dumb and full of cum. C.S. Lewis speaks of this https://youtu.be/7AXi4-_HPRk?si=SqeZAKj9ZGffTM8Q&t=787If you want to enjoy riding for a long time, you have to learn to appreciate the long, bland rides. >the dying away of the first thrill will be compensated for by a more lasting kind of interest
>>29029948You still have weekends. The best way to ride is to wake up on a day off and take the bike out immediately after coffee to get breakfast. After breakfast you’ll have a ton of energy to keep riding>im tired all the timeGet your T levels checked. Better yet, hit the weights and deadlifts.A good multivitamin and fishoil daily will cure majority of your tiredness.
>>29029969I didn't think to look at it that way, thanks for changing my perspective anon, maybe I'll ride to work tomorrow, it's a nice change of pace from the car. I think because I cleaned it from the caked on fine dust yesterday I didn't want to get it super dusty again so quickly but that's where the fun is right?
>>29029971>Get your T levels checked.I had thought about that, I already have a physical job and always have had physical jobs so I'm in decently good shape. I wouldnt' say I'm super fit or athletic but I'm absolutely not unfit either. I have got some multivitamins and I just keep forgetting to take the damn things.
>>29029887Yeah, the big fat BMW picture I posted.
>>29029977in that case lets try multis first. I’d recommend “Progressive” for “Active Men” you gotta take 3 daily, best to just shove em all after a meal and be done with it. You’ll notice more energy within a few daysI’ve tried em all and this is the only brand that actually works wondersYou can buy any generic fish oil to compliment the multis
>>29029987I've tried a few with mixed results but they definitely help yeah.I just hate not having the motivation to do the things I enjoy you know? I wanna go on adventures and shit and sometimes it's literally just me stopping that.
Guess this brake project is going longer than this weekend. I added the fluids to the rear brake, reverse method seems to work well, would recommend. But the pistons aren't pressing on the pads and according to service manual it's probably the seals. Maybe they got damaged after pressing the pistons in to replace the pads.I guess I'm flushing it and rebuilding. But I'm kinda worried about the front ones too now, if I'm replacing the pads there is the same thing going to happen?
>>29029996Yeah its because you’re burnt out from your work most likely. Since you said you have a week off coming up, I’d suggest you take a day or two to just recoup. Be a couch potato if you have to.On the 3rd day plan an adventure and just get going.Plan the route, pack some supplies and just go. Tuareg’s an amazing bike, make good use of it or you’ll hurt its feelings. All of its counterparts are out playing while it sits in the garage sad and lonely.Let it run wild

What the actual fuck is wrong with these clutch springplate bolts, hoky fuck i just sheared another one going fucking 1/8 turns for a whole hour if threading in these cocksuckers just for another one to shearWhat the fuck am i doing wrong
>>29030132use 1/4 inch drive and dont hold it all the way at the end. have some mechanical empathy.
>>29030132Are you not using a torque wrench? The clutch spring bolts need to be torqued properly or your clutch will always be dragging or slipping.I'm pretty sure you're supposed to locktite them as well because the torque spec is so low.
>>29029996forget what he said. you need zinc magnesium and vitamin b6. the zinc and b6 are the most dangerous, especially zinc without copper. so after the zinc start taking a little bit of copper. not too much, metals are toxic in excess. so is b6. magnesium will make you need more of the other electrolytes. fucktons more calcium potassium salt maybe phosphorus and chloride which is usually from natural salt or potassium sources. but zinc magnesium and b6 are mainly what you need when you're stressed. as for amino acids probably taurine glycine maybe carnitine and definitely creatine unless you eat a pound of steak every day or two. ignore the 5 gram dose of creatine. get like 15 grams throughout the day. salt is needed to utilize it. too much creatine at once and you will shit liquid. combine with magnesium for maximum diarrhea
>>29030145I used a fucking torque wrench from the very get goI had 3 nhts torquered and then these last threee werent going and i criss crossed an everything and the fucker anappedPretty sure i lose thw head of the fucking gay bolt inside the case fucking fuxk>>29030132I mean i had my 3/8 drive and it was fine for the first 3The problem too was as i got closer to this point the clutch would spin the whole motor too and im like the fuck this shouldnt be that hard to torqueI literally went at like 1/8th threat turn pace for criss cross im so fucking pissed, mostly at where tf did this bolt head fall into the case and can i get the cunt out
>>29030114>1400 miles>No back restMy doctor just felt a disturbance after I read that.
>>29030148>>29029996then after this, a multivitamin makes more sense because your body recovered and now your need for the rest of the vitamins has increased. before it will do nothing or even make you wired from overmethylation from the b vitamins which isnt healthy. the idea that you will just pee out excess vitamins isnt entirely true, minerals, b6 9 and 12 will fuck you up, and fat soluble vitamins will poison you which is why they're not even in multivitamins, so theres multiple reasons why multivitamins arent usually a great fix
>>29030149>3/8 drive torque wrench for something that's probably 8nmyou need a 1/4 torque wrenchWhat even is the lowest rated torque spec for you 3/8 drive?are you mixing up pound inches with pound feet perhaps? What bike is this for?

The clutch basket will be made out of steel, but the bolts are stripping.Make sure there's NO OIL on any of the threads when you're torqueing bolts. If there's oil in the clutch basket threads or bolts it will throw off the torque spec and you will strip the threads.I once stripped a head-bolt because there was oil in the headbolt hole.

Can you ride an NX500 as an adventure/dual sport? Asking because they're fairly cheap near me. It calls itself "entry level adventure bike" but it doesn't look the part.
>>29031271BUYFLYPAPERAlso put out cups of white vinegar + apple vinegar with a dab of dishsoap in them. THESE ATTRACT THESE FLIES, they fly down to take a drink of what they think is a rotten apple, get stuck in the soap, and drown
>>29031273"Adventure bike" is a marketing term for guys who like to fantasize about doing something cool.See that exhaust sticking out under the engine? If you try to ride over a log or down a rock you'll destroy your exhaust
how do you avoid stinky feet after riding your 'ku for hours??
>>29031273The easiest way to figure out if your bike is an adventure bike is to ignore what marketing departmentsays and check the ground clearance. If it's less than a high city curb then it's a city bike.
>>29031274The apple cider vinegar traps don't work. I bought a sticky indoor fly trap a week ago there's only one fly on it.The stinky outdoor traps work pretty well I put one out by the horse it filled up in a week it's time for a refill
>>29031273It's doable but it's more of a commuter dressed up as an adv bike out of the box. For the money the CFMoto 450MT/Ibex 450 is probably your best choice.Shame though because Honda's 500 twin is a great engine, and they've got the looks perfect, but you'd need a good amount of crash protection, spoked wheels and a suspension upgrade before you'd want to use it for actual adventure.
>>29031277Foot fungus power and regular showers you stinky dweeb
I can't decide if this bike is absolutely gorgeous or really ugly, but fuck I love it regardless.I think I'll get a high fender kit at some point though.
>>29031221If they truly knew they couldn't take it with them they would've passed it down rather than outwards.
>>29031275You could say that "adventure bike" to enable one to go outside and interact with another human.NX500 looks quite good to me.
>>29031281>For the money the CFMoto 450MT/Ibex 450 is probably your best choice.Only if you are a chink or a jeet. For the money it's 100% best to get a used Tenere or any other proper offroader.
>>29031288Hardly in the same price bracket or class of bike.Like yeah absolutely those are objectively far superior bikes, but if he's looking at an NX500 then he's probably not in the market for one of those. And for the record the Ibex 450 is a great bike for the money, Chinkshit or not.
>>29031284Tuareg is the best middleweight true adventure bike. It's better than Tenere in every single way, like objectively by direct comparison. Only Husqvarna 701 is close but more hardcore and bad on paved roads, while Tuareg is great everywhere.
>>29031292>Hardly in the same price bracketIt is absolutely in the same price bracket, new chinchong + tax = used tenere or similar bike.
Haven't stalled in traffic in two weeks
>>29031293Yeah I kind of wish I had slightly more tarmac oriented tyres because apparently the handling on the road when you have the right tyres is absolutely fantastic too. I might go for something slightly less aggressive when these ones wear out.
>>29031297I can't speak for the other anon because I don't know where they're from but in the UK, you'd struggle to find a used Tenere under £8k, whereas you can pick up a modded used low mileage 450 for about £4-5k.

>>29031307You can't inspire the stupid out of people.

Stainless steel levers for my bike.Unlike the cast aluminium ones, these are beautifully made, like god damn. They're heavy as fuck too.
>>29031322I was also told this thing is really, really hot. Like it blows heat straight to your legs
>>29031322>>29031327I've heard and seen the opposite, from what I've seen and been told people say they're pretty good. Not class leading, but perfectly capable.
>>29031336They're pretty neat but they're more or less in a class of one, and they're not an adventure bike at all.
>>29029446I love the look of those V85TTs but I've always heard they're absolute pigs, plus I don't really feel good about Italian reliability when the nearest dealer is 3 hours away from me. Also it's always bugged me that the frame stays red regardless of bodywork color, the yellow one would look so good if the frame didn't turn it into a rolling McDonalds.
>>29031356the v85 really reminds me of my NC700 when I've ridden it. Very good low end torque, not a lot going on over 70mph
>>29031354>>29031350seems like a very contentious bike
>>29031357>not a lot going on over 70mphThat could be an issue for me too. You really need to be able to do 80 with some reserve power to get around my area safely and effectively. My KLX300 runs out of steam right around 70 (which is miserable to sustain too, with a light tall bike and no wind protection) and it's really sketchy on the highways here and it's the main reason I'm looking at going up to some kind of ADV.

>>29031346Yeah stainless is really dense. They should be a bit sturdier too. What are they going on?
>>29031368Can you not wheelie?
>>29031370I can pop my front wheel up on my small bikes. I can't hit the balance point and stay there
>>29031366>i need to be able to go 80dont get me wrong, its still faster than every reasonably priced car on the market at highway speeds. i've never thought to myself "oh no my NC700 is dangerously slow for the highway." I found the v85TT comfortable up to 85mph, which is as fast as the lead was riding on the test ride. it doesnt have a lot going on as far as motorcycles are concerned, is what I meant. If you've ever ridden a larger displacement, higher powered motorcycle, anything from a literbike to a full size ADV, sometimes you feel like you're barely into the meat of it at speeds that catch you a felony.
>>29031384It's not easy on smaller bikes in your defence. It'll get better when you get something bigger.
>>29031273Once you own it you can use it however the fuck you want. You just need to re-adapt the bike to your usecase. I rode a 'Commuter' Bike on a 2200 mile road trip
Question for you all: when you buy a new helmet do you like to try something different or do you stick with what you know works? I got a scratch on my visor and was about to order a new one when I realized my Biltwell lane splitter was made in 2019.

None of them have stood out enough for me to be loyal to one brand. I like Shoei and Bell for the photochromic faceshield, the Arai fits my head a bit better. I think it's worth shopping around for one that's perfect for you.
>>29031409Talking about design? manufacturer? color?>Designmy first helmet was a modular , but I rarely used it so I got a standard for my second. >ManufacturerDon't care as long as they're reputable; crash rating matters more>ColorAnything that isn't white, black or matte / subdueFirst helmet was Hi-vis GreenSecond is Squidly Pink with the Mikus
>>29031409I like modular with a built in sun shield and good safety ratings, I also like things in stock at a decent price. My last helmet was a LS2 Valiant and I just bought a new one like 2 weeks ago and I believe it's a Scorpion EXO GT930 because the new LS2s are more expensive and weren't in stock. I enjoy the Scorpion a lot but I miss the nicer strap I had on the LS2.

Front brakes done and working! And a rear caliper rebuild kit ordered. I was worried for a bit since the front felt like shit but looks like there was air at the MC bleeder bolt causing it.I'll take a short ride to bed the new pads in but no real riding till the rear gets rebuilt

>>29031486Well I'm doing the EU motorcycle course right now and I was deciding to buy my first bike (something like a 600cc) but then I saw an opportunity to invest in land, so I decided to buy something smaller and cheaper.I saw this https://youtu.be/1SRL_81Jii4?si=MjnPquslmEwA0oEM video to what looks like some kid going to school, I'm around mid 20s so my first thought was that it would look weird someone my age would ride a bike this size (that is not an utilitarian vehicle, like scooters)
>>29031484Depends on the bike, 99.9% of non-rider normies and even riders who are only into one type of bike only have the barest conception of types of motorcycle (pretty much "Harley," "crotch rocket," and "dirt bike") and wouldn't know the difference between a WR125R and a KTM 500 EXC-F if they saw them. Smaller displacements are much more normalized outside North America too, while on the flipside in the US they're often not even an option since you need to keep up with much faster traffic in most places.

When I ride on SV650 my legs start hurting after an hour (knee angle 70°). Can you recommend couple lightweight 500cc+ motorcycles with better leg position (on GS the knee angle is 90° for example)?

>>29031827>>29031828I was thinking he might be better off with a more dualsport style bike as they're taller.I'm a manlet, but the tall dude end game seems to be an XR650 sumo.
>>29031828I mean SV650 with my body height has the similar knee angle as a gixxer sport bike. The difference is of course how far forward you lean, but it's about knees for me.Btw I found a Vstrom, where the angle would be 86° and I like it.
>>29031832My point was that cruisers are usually putting your need straight down 90 or even more forward so you wouldn't have to bend your knees much if at all.

>>29031615If you think particulates are inside, and the borescope doesn't work (RIP Amazon garbage) then you HAVE TO change the oil. Maybe even put mineral oil in, spin the crank BY HAND to see if it picks up anything, and then change it again.
>>29031615>>29031877And on that note, let me introduce you to my friend.
