>>29030297lol no retard but i know you're gonna anyway
Funny how somebody will spend $50k on one of these appliances but they think it's insane spending $50k on a pickup truck.
>>29030297>elected optionsthat's a lot of money for nitrogen in your tires
>Paper literally has a disclaimer on it that says "we didn't have to add this charge but we did anyways because fuck you"
>>29030297>$700 doc fees>$800 fuck-you chargeyou got raped bro
>50k for a rav fucking 4
>>29030342because the equivalent pickup truck is $60-70k and will either spin a bearing, blow a turbo, rust out in <10 years, or need cam phasers once the warranty ends
>MSRP on these cars is ~40k>sodomized with 2.5k fuckyou feeGreat deal, sign it up!
It's a bad deal, you're not paying enough.Anything bellow 70k is pitiable poorfag territory, you're just some pinko commie faggot ripping off honest good working people. Fuck you.
>>29031685You can get a really nice new truck for $50k. You're delusional if you think a new Toyota will make it to 10 years without any serious issues when they already have issues across the board.
>>29030342>My soulless, boring appliance is better than your soulless boring appliance
>>29031814What's boring about a 400hp V8? What's boring about being able to drift in the winter? What's boring about exploring the winderness?
The fuck are you buying? Can't you get a rav4 le hybrid awd for like $32k before tax? Nearly the same shit without your gay heated seats
>>29031685"Equivalent pickup truck" is a fuckin $32k ford Maverick
wouldnt pay 5k for a rav4 what the fuck are you doing
>>29030297>Rav4Try Reddit bro
>>29030297>vin: 2Stopped reading there, the answer is no.
>>29031821You're not going to find a brand new rav4 listed for under $40k, upper trim ones are going for over $50k. Yet they continue to sell nearly half a million every year, its insane.
>>29031809>a really nice truck the rav4 is toyotas bread and butter and the hybrids all have 10 year/150k mile epa mandated powertrain warranties>>29031821>>29032185they sell so well toyota dealers all mark their suvs up honestly the dealer experience is why i tell everyone to just buy a mazda instead
>>29032200>$100,000 msrp
>>29032205>just buy the diesel bro
>>29032208>just go buy a ford bro stop buying chevy junk
Why the fuck are people still buying American after all these years? They never improved their products even after the Japs stole their market share back in the 80s and 90s.

>>29032338Did you read it? You seemed to have skipped over the cracking engine blocks, the fire risks and the multiple issues that can cause a loss of power situation. It's overpriced slop just like all new Toyota products.
>>29032351yeah, for 8200 units narrowed down to a specific vin range. honestly a non-issue considering they build literal millions of them a year. im skipping over it because toyota is actually covering it.
>>29032356The big 3 shit out millions of trucks a year. Do you think every single one of them is going to blow up? It's still a gamble whether it's Toyota or the big 3 these days so what's the point of paying the Goyota tax for something so valueless? Also it's irrelevant if Toyota "covers" it or not. The fact that those potentially dangerous things could happen is the problem.
>>29032367teslas will lock you in the car during a car accident and plenty of other cars can try to kill you >potentially dangerousford is recalling 741,000 f150s and explorers because it wont stay in park, i'd argue a car that rolls into you is pretty dangerous https://www.torquenews.com/1/ford-transmission-park-issue-really-parking-lock-damage-issue-causing-recall-741000-f-150the gm recall was actually 782,000 truckshttps://www.caranddriver.com/news/a64611938/chevy-silverado-tahoe-cadillac-escalade-defective-v8-recall/i would argue 8,241 is a smaller number than 741,000 or 782,000. the only goyim are the dumb dumbs still buying amerislop $50-80,000 half ton pickups that look like pic rel after a year

Yet another notch in the new bad, old good column.
>>29032385that's worse than my 11 year old f150 in the rust belt. why is GM so shitting at rust proofing? they joke in new york is that a chevy will only last 3 years here.
>>29030297>$50k into debt for a mom-mobile what they've done to our society is unreal if you really think about it
Why is one guy spamming all these screencaps against American cars?

>>29033360Those marks on the bearing are just from finishing the coating, not wear. And 2 thou is a totally normal clearance. .025 mm (less than a thou) would be ridiculously tight.

>>290335031st gen f150? i have a 2015 from new with 160k miles. engine is still rock solid. 6r80 is fine. frame rotted out since lol ny. i'm in the process of welding it back together. zero problems with the drivetrain though, without seeing an DI gremlins. i'd probably put a catch can on a newer DI engine if it didn't do port injection too.
>>29033496thanks for saving my post now it will be on your computer and you will see it a few weeks from now reminding you of my messagei am glad i made a small impact on you :) >>29033503those have wet oil pump belts, lifespan of 120-200k miles; i'd imagine 10-15 years. >>29033400survivorship bias >4 timing chain sets in 100k miles>3rd oil pan>needs a 10r80 sooninsane

>>29033524i mean they put his kids through collegei find it amusing he made a whole business and following documenting it.to ford's credit their trucks dont rust out nearly as bad as gm; gm is going to ecoat their frames after 2027im not even telling people to buy a tundra buy something >15 years old or a 3/4 ton gasser if you want a truck...maybe a nissan titan >>29033565nope, rent free, that's how this works
You need to buy an overpriced toyota shitbox that ages faster than a white woman in a sunbelt state or you bought the wrong car, ok?
>>29033573>ages fasteryeah dude you need to buy a $60,000 chevy that rusts out before you finish paying it off like a real murrican patriot ready to die for judeochristian values. LIKE A ROCK
>>29033579Err. Rust depends on where you live. Brainlet moment
This dude is too easy. Hungry ghost for real! KWAB
>>29033588yeah. GM's only lasting 3 years in the rust belt is normal. MAGA! ISRAEL FIRST!
>>29033602I think you're getting a little off topic there, my ally.
>>29033523So what causes all this? Bad engineering where even after they fix it, it still shits the bed time and time again?
>>29033841Not to give too much credit to that Raped n' Gaped bitch that's scared of trucks, but yes a big part of truck shopping is picking the right motor. I would avoid the 3.5L and there's a reason Ford don't offer them anymore.
>>29033957How are we still making such shit motors? This should have stopped back in the 1980s or 90s already.
>buying a new car at msrpKek
>>29033602would literally kms if i was forced to live in the midwest.
Wow. These failures make the DCT automatic in the Focus and Fiesta seem like peanuts. You can always replace the transmission with the manual equivalent pretty easily and still have a reliable little beater. I would like to buy a newer car eventually but just seems like it's over for the industry. Can't go past 2016 in most cases.
