The Weymann Silent Flexible Body series and BMW GINA Light Visionary Model was one of the earlier examples.

Could result in superior air flow control instead of out-of-date Formula 1 style hard flaps.

Yes I'm sure those will hold up and won't be cracked and awful looking shite in 3-4 years. I wonder how much it costs to replace them when they eventually break apart considering they're part of the entire bodywork.

I love building cars and enjoy driving them more because of it. No fucking around with dealerships ever, and never feeling helpless because of some legal liability shit is such a flex

I predict it'll last for five years tops before cracking, specially on some place where summers are 40C.

i mean, in all fairness it was just a concept car that never left a showroom, right?
i don't mind those types having out there designs and features that couldn't be justified on any real car

It's a million dollar hypercar that will be driven maybe twice in its entire life, the rest of the time will be spent in a climate controlled garage as an ornament. And even if it somehow rots away in a couple years just sitting still in ideal conditions the prospective buyer of one of these won't care because a million is pocket change to them.
