My favorite brand. What does this say about me?
you probably get triggered by pushrods.
a 13.9 on the gayhter scale

>>29032796The mazda logo used to be the Mitsubishi logo? Did they used to be the same company?
I just want a vintage Renown jacket
>>29032819>The 1931 logo used the ‘Mazda’ lettering, written in artistic, tilted letters. The borders were dark blue, but the rest was transparent. Behind it, designers put the contemporary Mitsubishi logo – three rhombs, joined in the middle. They also colored it dark blue, instead of the usual red. The presence of Mitsubishi symbols refers to the fact that this company was responsible for selling the Mazda trucks at the time.https://car-brand-names.com/mazda-logo/
>>29032819Mitsubishi and Mazda are frens the Miata used a lot of sensors that Mitsubishi produced. Mazda and Mitsubishi are good brands.
>>29032827Numerous cars used mitsubishi sensors and electronics because they were objectively the best during the times. For example, GM used a mitsubishi sensor for the optispark (say what you will, but the fact it works as well as it does for 90s tech is fuckin awesome)
>>29032819Mitsubishi is such a huge company that has many departments and industries that they've worked with basically every Japanese company, at one point in history they built Japanese warships and warplanes
>>29032796Good taste, likes good driving dynamics and skeptic of trends like downsized engines, CVTs and hybrids (even tho Mazda has now hybrids).
>>29032796>My favorite brand. Just like me. I've had three.>What does this say about me?Good taste. It's these eras for me.
>>29032822How did they even do transparent lettering back then?>>29032827That's interesting, always wondered I saw at least one Mitsubishi logo under the hood of my Protege.
>>29032874My neighbor back in the day had a Mitsubishi VCR
>>29032796>brandyou care about status symbol
>>29032983Where's the status in driving a Mazda? Also you're implying that there is absolutely nothing that differentiates one car brand from one another?
>>29032983>status symbolUltra kekGold diggers are always going after fucking Mazda drivers
This one's my favorite.
>>29033000>>29033017if you care about brand, you care about status symbol. you want an image of something, for whatever reason someone may feel towards a brand. the question you have to ask is what happens if someone doesnt care about the brand? what are they missing that someone who cares about brand are not?
>>29033082>what are they missing that someone who cares about brand are not?
>>29033082people who arent blindly brand loyal are smarter unironically. people who buy things to cultivate an identity to show others are the ultimate cattle, and i mean that literally in a non-buzzword sense. "i buy therefore i am"
>>29032796You hate having money
>>29033082So when you're shopping for a product, I'm guessing your first step is to spin a wheel with all the available brands on it, selecting one completely at random without studying their comparative costs and benefits at all? Because if you were to consciously pick a brand for any particular reason you'd just be a status seeker according to your ideology.
>>29033092no, the first question for a car is what I want, what is available on the market, what the performances are, what the upfront cost are, what the reviews are, what the ownership cost are, etc. brand doesnt usually come up most of the time, and even then, its usually after the last few, between a generic chinese noname brand vs brand name, the brand comes with brand name tax, which is understandable as they have more reputation, warranty, legitimate source to deal issues with, etc. between ford/tesla/bmw/gm/honda, the brands not matter, except for what they're known for, most of the old brands are solid enough, tesla brand itself is new/tech oriented, so there's no real distinguishing for brand other than few things. each company are old enough/mature enough to have normalized their factory output. it only really matters when its brand new, unname, vs established. between established brands, there's no real distinctions
Either a based miata enjoyer or a complete larper high school student with a 150,000 mile mazda3
>>29032796so many changesBtw what do the '90s and current logo designs represent?
Mazda is the only car brand that still has old school electronic diagnostics and repair access by choice. They are based and wholesome.
>>29033105>Btw what do the '90s and current logo designs represent? The '90s ones are supposed to represent an eternal flame. The current ('98+) one is supposed to represent the wings of a bird in an "M" shape.
>>29033082This is such a uniquely worthless way of looking at things. It reeks of first-year philosophy. A brand is useful because it's a category of products that organizes itself. A company isn't going to retool and hire new designers and engineers for every new car they build. This allows trends to emerge. There's also variables completely separate from specific model that are dependent on brand ; parts availability, customer service, overall price of maintenance, etc. If you have prior experience with a brand, you already have a lot of this information stored away. There's no reason to forget everything you know and start anew any time you look at new cars. The human brain naturally builds biases, it's a basic evolutionary trait. That doesn't mean you have to be loyal to a brand, that's useless consumerism. But to say it doesn't matter at all is just nonsense.
>>29033157all brands converge towards something that humans use/love/etc the longer they stay in power, so differentiating them is nonsensical for most brands. unless its a new brand that has new things, but even they average out to what typical consumers want with normalized product behavior.
>>29033158t. collectivist
>>29032796
>>29033161no, its called free market competition. ironically, allowing competition to compete, copy each others innovation, within few years time frame, is what drives genericization of all things. thats why all white pickup trucks look alike, thats why all sedans look alike. all suvs look alike, etc. Whatever works and is mass produced gets copied/replicated. Its why all the new cars in China look like clones of Teslas, etc
>>29032796I had a 323 with the isuzu motor - used to start at -10 on a single glowplug no problem.
>>29033158It's not nonsensical. Different brands design and manufacturer things differently. There are definite patterns between models of the same brand. I don't understand how willfully ignoring this would do you any good as a consumer. You're just operating with less information for no reason. >average out to what typical consumers wantMarket trends can exist independently of but simultaneously with manufacturer trends. In fact, how brands react to changing market trends is one of the biggest highlight for their differences.
