They'd fight tooth and nail to deny a consumption test, and even if your engine consumed "too much" oil they'd just replace the piston rings - not your engine, cat, valves, etc. But then they make stuff like the 4.0L 1GR-FE which gets 500,000 miles on stock internals, original water pump, no change of the timing chain, etc.They seem to either smash it out of the park or foist a horrendous turd upon their customers. There is no middle ground. All they make is turbocuck shit now so they've lost me as a customer for good. If I buy a truck it'll probably just be an old restored one at this point. I dunno what sounds you heard, maybe that one had something wrong with it, but it's not especially smooth or powerful, except at very high revs. You don't buy a Kia to go fast, tho I will say it did find racing through hills on the highway today. I also have it on chunky tires which don't like going 80mph or more ever. I bet it might actually be somewhat fun on performance tires, but the steering is numb. Though it's way less overboosted than the crappy VW steering on my family's VW suv. Which is a shame cuz the rack on the Jetta and the A4's I had were great.
