What OBD2 scanner/programmer would you recommend? There seems to be a huge jump from my current $20 amazon special to everything else at ~$150+. Spending that much isn't a problem, I just don't know what's what. I'm not a pro, I just like to work on stuff. All I really need are code reading, programming/learning for stuff like TPMS, and real-time data, but it would be cool to try and adjust other things for optimization. Idk if these scanners are proprietary or preferential (TPMS programmers seem to be)- I have a 2017 Focus and a 2011 Tacoma. I'd buy new or used. I'd also consider a program I can download on my laptop, I just don't want to get stuck paying for a subscription.

Wrenchlet autotragic driver here, automatic or manual is a silly question but he should still have to know what car is for right?
if he just hands you any clutch kit it may not fit the car, right?

You can do tpms on one of those cheap Bluetooth to phone scanners. The more expensive ones do bidirectional control and live data, and more than that ($$$$) probing, graphing, data recording, module programming, etc. there's one south main auto likes, I don't keep it bookmarked

What brand and what year?
I have Fiats so I use Vgate vLinker + adapter sets + MultiEcuScan and it's a cheap semi pro setup that can go deep.

If you have Ford or Mazda then just Vgate vLinker + FORscan works.
