i can only drive at night because no ac.if you are actually fuckin scared of driving at night I would reccomend going and getting vision correcting lense glasses.I don't think you can fix astigmatism but you can maybe prefrence your gps to stay off the interstate so there's less bright lights to worry about plus you can run your high beams more.

Not to mention knowing when a turn is coming up or such. As you drive more these are all things you'll learn how to do without seeing the road. It's no different from driving in heavy fog. You'll get there someday, don't worry anon. Also if lights from behind is an issue then adjust your mirrors properly.
I prefer driving at night. Less traffic, almost no traffic at night here. I have more difficulty driving on a bright and sunny day than the occasional brodozer blasting his LEDs. Gotta watch out for the opossums, deer, and armadillos.

Night driving causes the pupils to dilate and when an ultra bright led hits your eyeballs, it worsens astigmatism over time. I'm a working driver and my astigmatism has only gotten worse as people get leds but fail to aim them properly
>>29033941Part of the reason why you get glare is that on older cars with many miles the windshield is pitted and you get directional marks from windshield wipers.When I bought my high miles used Honda it had terrible glare at night, even with a freshly cleaned windshield. Original glass to the car. Had it replaced, and its like new now.One thing people fail to do is clean their wiper blades often, often times the wipers sit for a while before being used again and a fine layer of grit gets stuck on them in the process, then you use them once it starts raining and that's how you get those marks over time that are directional to the blade travel - all the sandy dust marks up the glass.It also generally helps to clean your windshield once in a while as off gassing from interior plastics inside make film on the window.And too, being well rested helps. Sometimes I find myself running errands, night falls and I'm tried, and things can get glarey.Also, you get old, eye sight may start to go. I'm still okay but I might need glasses for night driving in 5 more years.And JFC, I hate driving at night these days because EVERY FUCKING NEW CAR for the last 5-8 years has super bright pure white headlights that are blinding even on a low setting. Even rear tailights now are terrible when the breaks light up, sometimes even they aren't, the bightness is too damn high.Kinda funny now when you drive at night you can right away tell who is driving an older car because you see normal not so blinding yellowish oldschool headlights.

I have astigmatism. Prescription glasses can correct for it btw.I also wear 20% yellow tint. It greatly helps reduce glare at night, improves contrast, and during the day it softens those nasty 5,000k light sources.I dont have a problem with LEDs or brights. Why? Because I dont fucking look directly at them like a dumb deer.literally all you have to do is shift your head slightly to not see their reflection or just not look at passing cars directly. I dont understand why so many people have a problem with this concept. Do you morons stare directly at the sun too?

I don't have a problem doing it, but it would be an altogether more pleasant experience with more subdued lighting.
