>this confuses the American
do traffic lights confuse europeans?
>>29033554NoStop signs are an unusual thing though, I can think of two in my city.
>>29033548we have these everywhere in america, are you retarded
>>29033563most /int/fags are
>>29033555destroy the entire city and start over jesus christ
>>29033563We do, but do euros come to complete dead stops before entering an empty roundabout? Cause retarded shitskins here do. They also put on their left turn signal when taking the second right exit.
>>29033548Americans can generally handle single lane roundabouts. It's the second lane that gets them.
>>29033627They are on the brow of a hill in the north of what we call a city. It's on a driving test route.
>>29033639In my state you are supposed to use your turn signal, both in the roundabout and for exiting the roundabout. So, per state law here, you would indeed have your left signal on to get to the second exit and once past the first exit you would need to switch to the right turn signal. Then they go and make almost all of the rounds so small that there's no real time to make a signal blink more than once...
>>29033639Most of the roundabouts in my neck of the woods have stop signs at the entrances, not yields
>>29033669Stop makes it not a roundabout you may as well put lights on it, yield is how it works.I get grumpy when I can't drift.
>>29033548and for sure you always use the turn signal when leaving the circle.... right?
>>29033642I noticed in the NL you are often forced into a lane and a curb blocks you from driving into the other out of laziness, I wish we had that in the UK.
>>29033789>cutting into the inside lane when no one's around?>WE DON'T DO THAT IN NLgrim
It doesn't confuse most americans, it confuses fucking retards who shouldn't have a license in the first place make a situation infinitely more dangerous for everyone around them. We have these in Arizona and every fucking time a near accident happens it's because some Mexican doesn't know what to do when faced with one of these.
>>29033548These confuse Italian drivers too, dw
>but what about the americans?
I always imagine Americans don't even thank you for letting them pass nor do they ever let you pass even though you have right of way
>>29033555looks fine to me
>This is an inefficient interchange that only exists to save moneyYou're right
>>29033667Then (you)r state has shitty rules and it's time we invade (you)r state.
>>29033642That whole yielding to vehicles already in the round about is why there would be only a marginal gain in traffic efficiency over stop lights. Suppose most traffic at a given time of the day heavily flows from bottom to top. Left and right will be waiting awhile to go while bottom continuously crams into the round. I have 2 single lane rounds near my house, this is exactly how it works out everytime. Add in some dumb visual block in the center of the roundabout with people who like to take them fast and you're just increasing the accident rate in an area. Maybe I'm just making your point about Americans not understanding roundabouts.
>>29034400its only marginal in very low density. they suck ass once there's any actual traffic. roundabouts save money in rural areas, that's their use case. the european mind is like an american childs.
>>29033548>we dont have large cars because our streets are so small>*use twice the area for a simple intersection
>>29034413Well ever since Europeans said they can't have AC because their houses are made of masonry to retain heat in the winter, I think we can collectively write off their design choices for anything.
>>29033548I drive through three a day on my way to work. The only crime I'd say in my town is that people don't use their fucking turn signals when actually going around.
I see four reasons, right here. That's the tax money from four intersection businesses just burned away.
>>29034683Why wouldn't you be able to have businesses near a roundabout?
>>29034683>>29034711
>>29034683>>29034711>>29034719
>>29034711>>29034719>>29034722I don't have a problem with roundabouts. I was channeling "lazy redneck city planner" with that post - it's what I assume goes through their heads.
>>29033639If the roundabout is empty, you just drive. You only give way to incoming traffic. If you stop at an empty roundabout in a UK driving test, you get a fault.
>>29033548Single lane roundabouts are good.Anything larger than 1 lane is way less efficient than a traffic light.Euro Fags are just delusional about their fetish circles.
>>29033548nice b8, turbofag
>>29033548They're getting more common these days.
>>29033560>Stop signs are an unusual thing thoughI know of one stop sign junction, and its between two buildings older than the US
>>29033548The US has over 10k round abouts. Millions of people use them. It's not that hard. It's weird how Europeans live in ignorance and think they are the only ones with roundabouts, but i guess it's like a sour grapes thing.
6 roundabouts within 1mi of the whitehouse in the capital of the USA btw
First time I went through one on the left side of the road was odd. Second time it was fine.
>>29033548The american mind never recovered from the double whammy of circumcision and lead water pipes, take pity.
>>29033555Behold, kelly square in Boston
>>29036063Americans are literally subhuman holy shit
