>boomers will look at this and say yeah this is coolIs there anything more cringe than hot rod culture?
They really like ruining beautiful classics
>>29034275>Is there anything more cringe than hot rod culture?Yes, a tacky bodykit on a supercar
>>29034284Modified supercars were cool up to a certain point, now they all just look like shit. Mansory, RWB and liberty walk being the worst offenders.
>>29034284the worst part is that the owner is a german boomer with 3rd world missus
>we're gonna modify a car so it's a chore to drive and really really loudepic
>>29034290based
>>29034275The two one the left are awesome.
>>29034280>>29034291No you don't get it anon, someone put their blood sweat and tears chopping up a perfectly good classic car because they took shop class in high school and felt the need to vindicate a skill that literally any retard could learn. If it's not a chopped body made out of rolled steel sitting on a custom tube frame chassis dragging it's ass on the pavement then it's not a real car.
>>29034290>jämes mai
>>29034275Everything has it's time in the sun. People thought hot rods were cool as fuck in the 50s when boomers were at peak coolness and hot rods represented anti-establishment and rebellion. Now they're the cultural signifier of a greedy wealth hoarding generation who left the world in a worse state they they found it in so of course young people look at expensive, superfluous, 'gaudy' hot rods with disdain. A couple of years ago drifting had a huge resurgence in the west as well as import tuner stuff. Now drifting is uncool and riced out imports with tilty negative camber wheels aren't moving the needle as much. Correspondingly the Millenials and late zoomers with gauged earrings and sleeve tattoos who ran in that crowd aren't cool anymore. Idk what kids are into now. G80 M3s and GTIs with rotiform wheels and fart crackle tunes? Flying drones around and doing street takeovers? I guess radwood era stuff is big right now? Idk, the point is, car trends are cyclical that's what I'm saying.
>>29034303all the young guys at work are either into offroading or buying $500 shitboxes and putting epic moddzz on them
>>29034303You sound like a commie. People worked for their money and enjoy the fruits of their life long efforts. Its not normal for a 16 years old to have a flashy car unless they sell drugs.
>>29034303Zoomers are currently into wrapping their clapped out g37s around telephone poles at the local street take over.
>>29034275>drive an extremely common and totally factory car that people will gawk over for a bit but then realize they're fucking everywhereor>drive something unique, no matter how ugly it may bepick one
>>29034310Nobody cares about cars these days.
>>29034275OP was a massive faggot once again.
>>29034308I'm not judging boomers for having hot rods but I'm trying to explain the psychology of why a lot of people don't like them, and the reason they aren't cool anymore. They have cultural baggage that attaches to them. Personally I like the old ones from back in the day, they have a more gritty real, home-built kinda vibe to them, but I don't like the style of hotrod that OP posted from that sort of 2000s resurgence, I think they look kinda tacky.
>>29034316>2000s resurgenceI'll never understand why this became a thing, same thing with choppers. Both came back around 2000 and then fucked off before the end of the decade.
Are these cars at least worth anything post dick-chop?
>>29034318Go watch barrett-jackson, these things still rake in retarded amounts of money. Pic related sold for like 300k.
The spirit of hotrodding is cool, taking whatever you have laying around and making something new out of it requires skill and time. The problem is they're mostly driven by old farts who didn't put in the work and wouldn't even dare driving the thing over the speed limit
>>29034318I think you'll be able to scoop them up for pennies on the dollar once the last of their owners have kicked the bucket. Their target audience is dying out and nobody's there to take up the mantle who are interested and willing to pay boomer 'I know what I've got' prices. I experienced it in real time where I had a real hard time selling my old GSX-R 750 from the 80s because the only people who are nostalgic for them are literally too old to ride them anymore and have aged out of the hobby. The guy who ended up buying it said he was gonna drain the fluids and mount it on his wall. Kinda sad but whatever. Had I sold it a few years back I would've garnered more interest
>>29034290He really felt the need to show off the rice patty he picked up on his last trip to thailand
>>29034275>Is there anything more cringe than hot rod culture?Yes, you.
>>29034308>Its not normal for a 16 years old to have a flashy car unless they sell drugs. They weren't flashy cars post war when the culture got started, they were old beaters picked up by guys with newfound mechanical experience fresh out of the military.
>>29034316>They have cultural baggage that attaches to themare you a fag or somethingwhat does this even mean to convey?
>>29034290Yikes
>>29034288Why did they put a lift-kit on it??>>29034303>it is timeTime for what?
>>29034426The testarossa was always riding high like that.
>>29034290I'm actually shocked the owner isnt arab.
>>29034442Ah, Classic beancounter neutering to appease the old guys that buy carsGood thing KW made some Coilivers (V3s) that will help one bring it back to how it was DESIGNED
>>29034280They look better to me. And even so, I'm tired of this argument. I hear it all the time in the bobber and cafe racer world. Although it's even worse there because these bikes are absolutely fucking cratered in value. I couldn't offload a lower mile survivor '77 gs750 for $2200, so I cut it up. People like to bitch about classic cars and bikes getting modified, but they don't actually care otherwise they'd be worth more because people buy them. But they don't.Anything that keeps old metal on the road is cool to me.
>>29034426>>29034469>muh wheel gap KYS
>>29034469>boomers had to wait 40 years because their boomer minds couldn't fathom ordering a shorter shock and spring on their ownThe concept of wheel offset must be like astrophysics to them
These things are Hella gay and HD will never improve their image selling these mobility scooters to geriatrics
>>29034284>>29034290the interior is completely gaudy but the kit itself actually isn't that bad. i kinda like it
>>29034275As a millennial raised by boomers I'd just say hell yeah dad while he shit talks my rice burners and all was good but everything changed when the wokeists attacked car culture
>>29034290The whole package is so bad it loops around to being based
>>29034513He's a spic. What do you expect?
>>29034275Cool
>>29034482Try again, boomer
>>29034280>>29034298The thing is they really weren't classics at the time, they were just cheap cars. Same as 90s kids chopping up Integras or current gen zoomies blowing up Chargers at niggermeet takeovers. >>29034303I'm inheriting a couple hot rods and a rat rod in probably the next year or two and I really have no idea what the hell I'm gonna do with them.
>>29034469You can order custom coilovers from Ohlin or Penske.Anyone not retarded can send them specs and valving.
>>2903430350% of zoomers want a classic car but the boomers mutilated them (the zoomers and the classics)
>>29034290>Face so rough you could cut a roast on in. But since he’s a poindexter himself and she probably gives him dick crushing butt sechs and does the housework, he’s probably happy as fuck regardless.
>>29034303>Idk what kids are into nowi wish they could be into fat sidewalls so manufacturers start making performance patterns with 60+ profile
>>29034316This. The 90s-styled alloy wheels with low profile rubber looks strange.
>>29034462I thought that too.>>29034290Honorary Arab.
>>29034426Reddit spacing
>>29034903This.
>>29034903dodge caravan anon's long lost brother
>>29034927Post build, bitch boy.
>>29035144I have a Softail really wish I just picked up a Sportster instead.Funnest bike HD sells
>>29034303>Idk what kids are into nowMost kids are too poor to be into anything
>>29034290This is the peak type of relationship for white men in 2026
>>29034513Based, pilled
>>29034275The millennial "hot rod" culture collectively circle jerking to 80s econoshitboxes.
>>29034288Mansory is truly awful. And I thought such a well-known tuner could do a better tuning.
OP hates fun
I remember those boomer shows always put these in the cars
>>29034290Surely these guys have the resources to get a foreign wife who isn't fucking ugly?
