Why aren't you dailying a WW1-era race bike with brazed frame, 1000 c.c. V-twin, pedal start, manual fuel pump, manual oil pump, no clutch, and no brakes, /o/? What's your excuse?

Because they tore down all the board tracks in my area.

This is the sort of thing a rich person buys to leave in their parlor as a conversation piece.

I need to haul my shit in a van during the week. and I got an 81 Honda for the weekend.
I totally would if I had one tho.

They would do 100mph+ on these deathtraps
Imagine going 100mph on something that's barely more than a bicycle
>>
>>29035134
I like modern advancements such as the automatic starter and brakes.

100mph was where they maxed out.
Most were running down in the 50mph range. Still terrifying on a glorified bicycle and anybody who stepped up to compete at higher levels were absolute madmen.

at 50mph no you dont
>>
>>29035299
None of these did 100mph. Some of the fastest motorcycles of the early 1900s were doing 45-75mph.

Engine brake down to a speed you could drag your feet at. Yes really. On tracks everyone would just do slow down laps until they could stop.

A tiny few had brakes similar to old bicycles that grabbed the rim. Usually front only.

>Yes really.
Wild. How do you change gears without a clutch, and how many speeds was there?
Also manual oil pump? Hows that work.
