Jaguar lagged well behind BMW, Mercedes, and even Audi well before he ever touched a single Jaguar - their sales were never competitive even once and they never really tried to be anyway. The last XJ and the pre-facelift F-Type (both Callum designed) are still some of the nicest looking modern cars of the last 10-15 years despite that.

The XK8 (and xkr x100), specifically my xk8 is the most beautiful jaguar along with the xj220 Geoff Lawson made one of the most beautiful and iconic coupes of all time and then ian Callum ruined it's elegance with the x150. Which imo is downgrade in almost every way and is the beginning of jaguar's downfall and enchinkification.
