Even something like "Not your father's Oldsmobile", while still a desperate attempt at lowering average buyer age, at least sounded sort of cool.Funny enough, it had double bones + multilink rear suspension and you could even get it with a (Mazda-produced) manual transmission, not that any of those things were ever selling points to your average Mercury buyer circa 2006.
