What are we going to do in 10 years time when Chinese EVs have finished taking over the market and anything interesting is 15+ years old and you can't get parts for them anymore
>>

I forsee in the long run, kit cars are the future of the hobby. But parts will be made in much smaller numbers and variety. Its going to be people putting crate motors and electric drivetrains in different bodies like the new AE86 shells. Its gonna be boring and expensive.

>Chinese EVs have finished taking over the market
only a problem in cucked ass regions like Australia and Europe. america doesn't have the full infrastructure to support mass EV adoption, yet.
>>

manufacturing will get much much easier, all plastic parts are now easy to replicate, soon pretty much anything besides electronics will be manufacturable at your local shop
>>

Nah, in 15 years the USA will be completely dominated by BEVs.

Same way we all use Chinese phones and Chinese TVs right?

Calm down, European brands are already catching up to China hard. Their head start is all but gone.

Great so we can buy generic soulless European EVs instead of generic soulless Chinese EVs

I'll agree that the majority of EVs are appliance slop, but there's a few diamonds in the rough.
Shame there's no manual EVs though.

50 years ago cars were much simpler and didn't have a million parts made by 50 different suppliers that went bankrupt 20 years ago
>>
Until China gets rid of that law wher everything has to be scrapped once it's 13 years old, fundamentally, China is never going to produce a good vehicle.
