For comparison, the new ones have the same wheelbase as a S10 Blazer from 20 years ago.Older ones are a bit smaller, but it is BMW engineering that we are talking about, so if shit goes wonky, you are paying out the nose. I would steer you towards a Scion iQ, if I were you, but even those are kind of shitty.

>>29039052Owning a 2019 clubman with the B48 and DCT for 2 years - nothing out of the usual, it's been more reliable than I thought and gets good mileage as well. Drives very BMW like, as it reminds me of my previous E46.
>>29039052Minis are fine vehicles. Look for one with a b38 or b48 engine. I like the regular 5 door car, not the clubman or the countryman. The 3 door cars have pillarless doors which I don't like.

I would reccomend the element for the engine alone, those unkillable K20s are why you can still buy a working daily driver element two decades later and you will never find a quirkier car. Subwoofer in the front and moonroof in the back? Insanity.
>>29039052Auto ones are pretty boring, so definitely find a manual one. If you don't mind getting your hands dirty, you can snag some really good deals on these. People refuse to work on them, so there's plenty of cheap ones that need relatively little work to get driving.
