What’s your favorite auto parts store /o/ ?
>>29044373rockautoamayama
>>29044373The Țřü Ķïñğ is Řœçķ Äůťœ is the best
>>29044373Recently auto zone because they opened a distribution center near me so they have everything in stock. They also have a self checkout. I like the boomer vibe at NAPA better though.
>>29044373I miss when O’Reilly’s was Kragen/Checker. My go to now is Napa or Autozone. Carquest died where I live, and so did Advanced Auto. My personal favorite was BAP imports, they had everything.
>>29044383There was a wholesaler that sold to the public. I could buy my car battery for 70$ versus 120$ everywhere else. They had a huge warehouse, so I could pretty much always find parts for my 94 4Runner. It unfortunately didn’t survive COVID and died. I was really sad. I miss the racks of catalogs and the boomers always asking “what are you doing” then either give you amazing advice or dogshit retardation.
>>29044387>BAPVery close to Brap.
>>29044373Mine. I got a dog in it, I am constantly out of stock and sell second grade chinese imports.
there's an autozone and a napa on the same road but i go to the autozone because they're open later and they'll do free battery testingthe people there are absolutely useless if you have any questions thoughever
>>29044373Same Chinese parts at all those stores. So it's whatever is closer.ThenBulk items are always cheaper on Rock auto by a huge amount.Plugs filters exe.
Where my Pep Boys at?
>>29044441Back in the day PepBoys used to have all the ricer parts. >shitty underglow Check >chrome windshield wiper blades? Check>plastic shifter knobs held in by a set screwCheck >”Type S” and “Sport” badges Check It was great, they had by far the dumbest shit at PepBoys. Too bad they closed all their retail locations at least where I live. They’re all just mechanics shops for poor people.
>need cabin air filter>$20 at autozone>$5 at rockautohow are they so cheap?
>>29044466a lot of the things I order from rock auto appear to be store closeout or inventory liquidations.I have on multiple occasions had OEM parts inside generic boxes for things like bearings and axle seals.
Anybody that says vatozone is brown.
There's a discount tire shop near me that does buy 2 get 2 free tire discount. That shit has saved me tons of money money
Supercheap Auto but only for oil/filters/lubricants/sealants/hoses and lines etc Tools I buy from actual tool shopsParts I buy online
>>29044466not as much overhead and not as involved customet service versus a regular brick and mortar storebut if you needed something yesterday...
Walmart if I NEED something super basic from a brick and mortarrockauto for literally every part obviouslyebay for shit that's not mission critical cause you can get basically anything from junkyards that take the time to pull shit off the cars, catalogue it and sell it online. amazon is actually my first go-to since I already have prime and they've got chinkshit that's good enough for unimportant things
>>29044373I like buying from Napa auto parts because they're a cooperative so they're locally owned and usually more knowledgeable. I also buy from ACE whenever I can
>>29044373Car-part>t. junkyard owner
ebay and amazon. you don't need anything else really
>>29044814you are probably overpaying wildly when you need more than 1 part at a time.
cockauto
>>29044450Kek, my buddy had a s2000 and worked at pep boys back in the day so it checks out
>>29044814enjoy your counterfeit parts with an 80% failure rate after a month
>>29044373Rock auto if I can wait. Where I live there's an oreilly and an autozone that face each other so I go where it's cheaper or in stock. The napa never has anything I need in stock. Rarely I'll get something from amazon if it's an actual name brand selling it and it's heavy so I don't get blasted on shipping from rock auto.
NAPA is much more no nonsenseCarquest got absorbed by I think uh, Oreillys? Oreillys/Advance/Autozone are all in the same categoryNapa has a lot of weird shit that nobody else has too, like I wanted a denso ignition coil and NAPA had it same day.
>>29044373Advance Auto for me. They have the best website and app, prices and stock are about the same as everywhere eise and they normally have online orders picked and ready within 30min. Plus their website is really good telling you which stores have the item in stock if the #1 choice doesn’t have it.RockAuto if I have the luxury of waiting a few days for a part to show up.
>>29044466autozone has to pay some geriatric retard to take 15 minutes to punch your car into the parts lookup and still try to sell you the wrong part even when you know exactly which one you need and are pointing it out on the screen
>>29045238about half the time i go to autozone the retard cashier can't scan the item or it isn't in their inventory and they just give it to me for freeso i probably pay about the same price as rockauto
>>29044373Napa. I grew up going to Napa with my grandfather for filters and hoses for equipment and still go there for the usual car stuff. They often have 20% off online orders so I’ve saved a bunch of money fixing up my beater daily. Love their oil and filters.
>>29044373Carquest>Counter manned by boomlets and slackers, equally useless.O'Reilly's>Uh, you got a VIN? Just gimme the R9K pop off valve.Advane Auto>Better, can order online and pick up. Sales at times.AutoZone>No habla Espanol.
O'Reilly'sDudes are way better to talk toHave discountAutoZonejust a storeNAPAfuck em
>>29046075Bimmerworld and FCPEuroThey don’t even carry RED LINE or HENGST at the shittier stores
>>29044450I did a few years there. I wish they would finish dying so I can plagiarise Manny, Moe, and Jack.
O’Reilly’s bought CSK
>>29044373The locally owned small business parts store with guys that have worked there decades.
>>29044394BAP was the best, if you had Japanese shitboxes. Idk how, but they always had the part. It feels like all the auto parts stores are being absorbed by larger companies. There’s basically autozone or O’Reilly’s, with the occasional Napa. they also, all kind of suck. I needed a 24V relay, and I just asked for any DPDT relay and they kept asking “uhhhhhhhh….what kind of vehicle…….” I even asked, can I just look. “Uhhhhhhhh….so what’s the vehicle?” I was also looking for a crank case breather filter for my bike, and that was a fucking disaster.
>>29044450PepBoys was definitely for the guy who watched 2fast2furious and thought…”damn I need blue chrome windshield wipers for my NA eclipse with the fart can muffler”
>>29044494I don’t even think the autozone by me has anyone that actually speaks English….
>>29044494voterzone
i did parts delivery for oreilly for a while and im so happy i wasn't on the floor talking to the retards that came in. i got fired for showing up drunk to my driving job every day. i was still the best driver and knew all the parts and locations and all our customers loved me. fuck you todd at eagle tire for lying and making up a story about me. fat bald fuck
>>29046899>i got fired for showing up drunk to my driving job every daylmao dumbass retard
>>29046921so did all the other boomers that did it. one didn't know how to read.
napa because they have the only chance of reman axles that wont fuse from torque
>>29044373theyre all selling the same bosch shit made in india but stuffed into a different colored box
>>29046993>picDangerously baste
Napa for me, since it is a cozy store and the small handful of guys who work there are the sort who have been working on cars for decades, so they're good to ask some of those bullshit "what if I did X instead of Y" questions to. Autozone get all my used oil, however. I'm not even sure if Napa does oil disposal. Autozone does lose points, though, since they used to take all my jugs right at the desk, but now they make me dump it in the bin myself
>>29044373Autozone for the ability to return electronics (advanced auto doesnt let you no matter what). This way you can get a bunch of coils at once and return the uneeded ones. (toyota/lexus aids). Also sensors etc.
>>29047411I hate Autozone. I used to work there. >500lbs coworker >smelled like shit, moldy cheese and BO >had 4 kids >would never show up to work on time >would blow up the toilet, so bad you couldn’t use it for at least 30 minutes >idk how but he couldn’t position his fat ass or something. He would like shit smears on the toilet seat.>would also try to sell tamales to customers and to us but he was always smelly, his polo was always had various stains, so no one wanted to even imagine even buying food he made>had a crush on the girl that worked there >would follow her around so much she called corporate and he got told to just stay away from her >Speaking on her, she was slightly chubby, but only looked cute at just the right angle>not bad but also not good and kind of lazy >would pretend to be retarded when she didn’t want to do something >The rest were various semi retarded zoomers that couldn’t figure out anything without explicit instructions >the manager was some 40 something year old Mexican. He worked hard but was also kind of stupid. He was also corporate’s bitch.>The last was the part time old man that was 80. I think he just hated being alone, I liked him and he was nice to me. He would always talk about his one son, but then go on about his other son is a fag. He also would talk about various cars and trucks he had over the years. He got fired for being based and telling the fat guy to get his life together and stop being a fat slob. Then he called him a “fat sunava bitch” and he should get his ass kicked for being such a piece of shit father” I think he meant to motivate him but that didn’t fly.>I quit to work at Advanced Auto Parts but then 6 months later our store closed. >Got a job at O’Reilly’s but got fired because I fell into a depression and was showing up to work drunk.
So this... is the power... of American retail chains...
>>29049023Imagine being that old man and having to deal with incompetent zoomers, mystery meat, thots and a morbidly obese man that repeatedly shits on the toilet seat. Which is terrible since every autozone I’ve been to has only one, maybe two bathrooms at most.
>>29049023Jesus Christ man…
guys at napa usually have their shit together, only time they didn't was when everyone was running around like headless chickens when their internet went down during end of month inventory
>>29044373The one that lets me fix my car in their lot. I've noticed they're starting to tell people to leave if people do oil changes because retards keep spilling oil everywhere on the pavement. They were fine with me replacing fender liners in their lot, but fluids appear to be verboten now.
>>29049023>500lbs coworker>had 4 kidshow the hell? are they even his? i can't even imagine this guy successfully getting any woman pregnant, probably can only get desperate single moms who end up dumping their spawn on him and leaving the picture
>>29050188You would be surprised, there’s women who like to take care of guys like that.
>>29044373The one with the fewest amount of security cameras.
In 2020 I used to buy weed at advance auto parts lol
>>29046850This takes me back.
>>29044373They're all the same. The only thing that matters is the manager of that particular store, and whether or not they hire good people.
Auto Gear Wallan, dude will order anything you want and get a fair price on it, you can text him your license plate and the part you want and he'll get you a quote. Really good prices on service items.
