Fellas, I'm new at this and I need recs for a decent vehicle for under $5000. What I'm looking for is:
>sedan, maybe coupe
>economical shitbox, but might compromise if it's enjoyable to drive
>does not repel pussy (very important)
I currently drive a minivan, which of course emits hoe scaring particles. What I'm looking at is the usual; Hondas and Toyotas from late 90s-mid 00s. I would also love to have a late 90s-mid 00s Lexus but fuel economy and upkeep definitely seem a rung higher for them. I found a 90s Avalon which very decent mileage, but again fuel economy isn't great and it kind of seems like a dad car. Also considered late 90s- early 00s BMW which seem to have good economy but expensive and inevitable maintenance? I have even less of a clue on German cars to be honest. Any suggestions? Besides reading the sticky which I am currently doing I promise.

>choosing a car based on what women think
If you can't get pussy regardless of what you drive, don't even bother.

>under 5000
>does not repel pussy
Bad news anon, the classic advice remains true >>29045572
Women don't care about cars, unless they're super expensive. Even then, they only care that you have the money to buy them, not about the specific model.
>>
>>29045573
I don't think anon wants to make women wet with his car, he just wants them to not think he's a joke like a minivan would. He wants to pick a girl up for a date in a normal car she would feel fine in.

Yeah what you said. Number one priority is economical, but I don't think I could drive a Prius. I think I'll go with the Avalon just because it seems like the best value for money. I seriously considered a mid 90s Diamante, but the fuel economy came up short.

>decent vehicle for under $5000.
Is this the thread where we make crazy wishes for christmas? I'm wishing for a decent Ferrari below 10k in mint condition.

I met my wife driving a 10 year old Corolla. They don't care

2011-2017 v6 mustang

Yes the v8 options are faster
No it's not a coincidence they had to delay the introduction of this engine until the coyote also was ready
Yes brainwashed retards will talk shit because there's a horse on the front
No, none of them have driven one of these
Yes it's an American 370z without the weeb tax

First of all, let me congratulate you from waking up from you twenty years coma Anon. Secondly, sorry but during your sleep the used cars market changed, five grands aren't gonna get you much.
>currently drive a minivan, which of course emits hoe scaring particles
Thirdly, what the hell are you talking about? I still get remarks like "anon such a shame you don't have that van anymore", it's one of the best types of vehicles for dates. My buddy who's married still has his panel van.

I never had an issue loading garden implements in the back of a minivan.

Pretty much, but an expensive car can also signal that he spends all the money on the car and therefore has nothing to give to her as well.

I fail to see why people hate minivans so much when it comes to lacking sex appeal. These things literally exist because people had sex and babies happened.

If OP is so concerned about bagging a chick, get a dog. Man's best wingman. Just say that you wanted your dog to have lots of space or something.

I'm actually looking at a couple 90s Nissans and Mitsubishis with <100k miles on them. Is that retarded of me? I really like 80s-90s cars and figure every cheap shitbox from the 00s in my price range is going to be ridden or neglected into the dirt anyway.
My priorities from greatest to least are
>inexpensive
>reliable and economical as I can get [for the price]
>doesn't make me look like a faggot or tryhard
First two basically rule out vans, trucks and SUVs. Third rules out stuff like Jukes, PT Cruisers, station wagons. And all three basically rule out German cars or something that Mexicans like trading around.
As for a dog, I really don't have the time to properly look after one. I've thought about getting a Russian Blue, but I also don't want pet hair and dirt all around the house either.

I grew up when the JAY-DEE-EMM legends were sold new. I gotta tell you, I think you can't handle it.
I tend to buy 10-30 y.o. meme cars. They're easier to work on than new in many ways... but a 30 year old car is going to have problems you didn't think could exist. Grounding faults, interior trim falling off, EGR issues, axles dying, clutch cylinders, bushings, steering knuckles, yadda yadda. And then, you find the part you need was discontinued 20 years ago! Noooo.
You have to be of decent intelligence, mild level of fitness, and a lot of perseverance to deal with cars that old.
Then there's always the chance the previous owners haven't done any maintenance and you're buying something with a blown head gasket that's been covered up. Or something that a kid wired an entire home stereo system into so there's shitty frayed wiring everywhere. I had both in one car one time lol, spent hours upon hours taking the bubbly window tint and residue off all the windows. Man...
Oh yeah, cars don't even rust where I live, so adding rust into the mix would make it much much harder to deal with.
>>
>>29045567
>Also considered late 90s- early 00s
Most of these cars will have issues because they are old. If having a working car 24/7 is mission critical you just have to buy a newer car.

If you live in commiefornia, you can buy a toyota mirai for really cheap and its probably the best bang for your buck econobox. Otherwise you are going to be fighting with every other minority for the few good options in this price bracket. You could try to buy a mercedes w204 with a v6 and just deal with the minor oil leaks but its a gamble at this price. Its a solid car but you will be buying it from an minority which is not good. If you aren't willing to risk it, I would just buy a honda fit even though its somewhat overpriced.

in what universe are these cars 5 grand.
