questions that dont deserve their own thread

mine: are korean brands still considered unreliable shitheaps? The elantra N seems like a fun manual but I can't think of a major hyundai or kia engine that hasn't been recalled or had serious issues. Or am I just being biased against korean brands? the alternative would be a honda fl5 or acura integra type s which are significantly more, but the k20 is reliable.

2004. Lol. Changed struts, timing belt, rack and pinion, brakes, spark plugs, plug wires, starter, cv axle and alternator. It has the 2.7v6. I bought it at 170k. I did all the work myself.

>it looks really good actually

I need to switch to a clown car due to gas prices. How efficient is a Citroën C2 VTR 1.6 L petrol?

Is there a way I can reprogram my key dongle or get a new one WITHOUT paying $1,000 to the dealership? I just wanted to change the battery in mine and now it's lost its ability to do anything except act as a normal key. I want my push-to-start back.

I have a gmt800 silverado with the 4.3 and 2wd that I primarily use for random house work stuff, towing/putting a 21' boat in and occasional very light offroading. While it's done this with out any issues (mostly due to having a good boat ramp near by) the 2wd has always sketched me out at the boat ramp. I've been considering installing a manual rear locker specifically the one by OX and was wondering if it's even worth it. I payed next to nothing for this truck and it has low miles so I'm not super concerned about the price. My question is having a rear locker on a 2wd truck worth for my use case or would installing a LSD be more worthwhile (it didn't come with the G80).

if it's a ford toyota mazda or something super common, a common locksmith can do the reprogramming for $100 - $200.

A bushing like this is fucked? I need to replace it right?
>>
>>29048087
those are some pretty big cracks, I'd replace them if I felt anything weird while driving

It's a Mercedes-Benz, so yeah I expect it to be expensive but it kinda pisses me off that I'm apparently not even allowed to change the battery without the dealership's permission. This isn't even a new car, its used (yes I already put the work into it, get off my back).

Im thinking about buying a used 2023 tacoma. I want to go overlanding and shit and this might be an expensive money pit / hobby that finally puts the spark back in my eyes and give me something to do on the weekend when I am not working TOO MUCH OVERTIME BECAUSE WE ARE ALWAYS FUCKING UNDERSTAFFED GOD I HATE MY JOB. Bad idea?
>>
>>29051120
only a bad idea because it feels like the depreciation from 2023 to now is basically fucking nothing and you might as well buy new.
am I wrong?

Yeah one of the new gens with decent interior is 50k+. Hybrid is like 55k
