Post cool drag races and discuss turbos, NOS and other things that can make your car win.

Also, what do you think of cone filters?

You - have never even owned a car, have you?

I'd like to make an AWD Ford Maverick drag truck, it'd mostly be just the shell with probably any engine that would fit under the hood. No idea if a coyote could fit but a super boosted 4 cylinder would keep to the spirit of the truck. I assume a 2.0-2.9L engine from for would fit.

Dude.
I put a small block chevy 350 in the back of a VW beetle.
>it was literally where the back seat used to be
You can make anything fit if you put in the effort.

BOSS 429 Mustang
>umm, it doesmt fit boss
>then cut the shock towers and relocate the shock outboard to get enough room.
>oh hey, that worked...

Thats nice grandpa, here's the Maverick engine bay.
>>
>>29050145
at this point id say its easiest to just make a silhouette car.

First pic is a 429 BOSS which is based on the 429/460 big block.
It has massive semi-hemi heads.

You might pay just a bit more attention to the pic of the post I quoted

The maverick engine is bloated as fuck (like all moderm 4 bangers)

The engine bay is still x amount of cubic feet.
They have kits to drop 5.0's into rangers (even the smallest first gen). The maverick isn't magically smaller. A V8 will fit. You dont keep all the support garbage for the stock engine when you do a swap.
>>
>>29050973
FE is smaller than the 429/460 family and fits easier into a mustang.
I dont understand your post.

>I dont understand your post.
The engine in post >>29050182 is a goddam 385 Series that claims to be a 521 stroker. Learn what engines look like before trying to be a smartass. Notice how you can see where two of the spark plugs are? Try that with an FE in a Mustang.

Youre a fucking idiot for 2 reasons:
#1)
The pic you commented on I used to highlight the stock shock tower.
#2)
FE heads (pic) are extremely easy to pull sparkplugs on in a mustang because of the nature of the head design you nowrench noFE nomustang faggot poser.

Your post was confusing and made zero sense because you dont know dick.

Either lying faggot or absolute fucking braindead wrenchlet

Pic related.
The "difficult to access" sparkplugs in question.

Funny how you had to go to a Galaxie to try and prove your point.

Also funny how you deleted that post. Who pointed it out for you?

It's also apparent that you just want to argue so you must be THAT Anon who lives for it rather than rolling with the joke. Yes, we all know you and I should have recognized you earlier. My bad.

Finally, a pic of mine from damn near 30 years ago. And I'm out.

Youre a fucking retard

>Also, what do you think of cone filters?
Pointless for the most part. Filter shape has very little meaningfull effect with exception to the actual filtering element, which most of the time is worse for the engine than stock in terms of the gains v loss of durability. Even if you are having to redo the intake system because of a turbo or supercharger conversion you're better off keeping the OEM box along with filter if possible and just have the runner length/layout remade to the exact measurements needed for your engines new peak RPM range with the charger added. Or alternatively if you want an exlcusively drag racing platform you should just have ITBs with trumpets instead without any filters as you will not want any air restriction but at that same time you don't care too much about engine longevity.

Honestly you should be looking at the exhaust first before you touch stuff like the intake.
