1st in line at my dealership for a Rav4 Woodland in Everest color. It’s got that spare tire, 120v trunk outlet. Good mpg. If I can get a winch I can larp as Eddie from JPII. Car camping here I come!
I have lost so much blood recently each time I take a dump
Lol what the fuck is this
>>29051159pics?
>>29051154How do new Toyotas look modern but also dated 15 years all at once?
>>29051246Dunno they look quite different
I feel nothing about Toyota.I'd much rather the old one pictured in the post above. That color looks like it might actually look good irl. Or it'll look like baby food, I'll have to see it in natural lighting.I actually think Toyota's recent cyber boxxy design "language" is nice compared to the competition. What's the 4WD system like? Some garbled mess of electronics and clutches?
>>29051263god we need to go backthis is almost as bad as the buick super bowl ad
>>29051168A dream
>>29051270Ironically, and I’m not sure if you meant this, but the newer rav4 looks more angular. Similar to the black buick. Soo in a way, yeah, the newer Rav4s do look older in a way.
>>29051311That's not what I meant at all. I'm talking about newer, shittier, uglier cars being advertised next to older, cooler, better looking cars as if it doesn't make the new stuff look way worse in comparison.Basically, marketing execs are fucking retarded.
>YOU WANT DRIVE CAR??
>>29051154Sorry about your balls anon
>>29051246because its a mild facelift of the same rav-4 they've been selling since like 2017 or something
>>29051314Based take
>>29051154>can get a gently used GX460 (Prado 150) for the same price.>very very reliable port injection V8>body on frame>4wd>4lo>multi-terrain select>center diff lock>descent/crawl control>more space>better clearance>can easily bypass DCM/telematics module so you’re not tracked by toyota>large aftermarket>easy to wrench on if you wantI don’t understand new car prices.
ive been making dealerships run lease quotes on 2-3 year old CPO cars. they fucking hate it, and hondas software either fucked up or really wants to get people into leasing cpo's because the deals theyre pumping out are unthinkable. 0.0015 mf's, automatic $2000 off list, good residual %'s, and minimal upfront fees. and i think the dealer is so starved for customers theyre being forced to entertain it since CPO lease is a honda program.im going to lease a 2023 or 2024 thats list price is depreciated by the 2-3 years old it is,, enjoy the CPO warranty buffs + under warranty for the entire term of lease, all with the lowest mf you can find right now, just to hand them back a car whos residual is way over its actual value.
>leasing a 3 year old carwtf?
>>29052016only certain brands let you do it and only on certain cars. they like leases on new ones because they profit while you pay for the depreciation. they dont like CPO leases, which is why you didnt know you can lease 3 year old cars. the math isnt bad either if you negotiate the sale price (easy, its used w 30k, knock a few grand of asking) and have good credit. math on some of the quotes are better than financing to buy. obviously nothing beats running a shitbox into the ground but that requires time, money, and taking it to the shop, versus a running car 24/7 and a monthly payment like clockwork.
>>29051314Yup. Sure, they're trannyverse crossovers both new and old, but when you could actually get one as, say, a 3 door soft top with a manual and AWD with a full size spare on the back, they were actually kind of cool.
>>29051602>worse gas mileage>doesn’t come with a warranty>actually designed for offroading, not getting groceries with an “outdoorsy” stylingI don’t think you know who rav4s are for. they’re for middle class women who don’t wrench and never leave the pavement.
>>29051314>trying to argue the RAV-4 was ever coolholy zoomoli
>>290522332door 4wd mini-suv >>>>> modern crossoverslop
>>29052246The RAV-4 was never a SUV. It has always been a crossover.
>>29052193>>29052246I have an AWD manual 2 door Rav. It's really really good as a daily driver, especially in the snow. Has a small lift and some good tires. Surprisingly capable offroad. It's 27 years old and works just fine.
>>29052200Is it too much to ask to have a car with decent gas mileage, a spare tire, and good ground clearance? The Rav4 gives me what I need without excess.
>>29052271All crossovers are SUVs, not all SUVs are crossovers. Still, there is something fundamentally different about the first gen Rav4, even compared to the second gen. It was right at the tail end of the 80s/90s mini-suv craze
>>29052339A Suzuki Grand Vitara/Chevy Tracker is an SUV. A RAV4 is just a crossover although even calling it that is a stretch as it was just a higher sitting hatchback. Mini actual SUV's were cool but a RAV4 or a CR-V never will be.
>>29052325>Is it too much to askclearly not, given this is now the default style of car
>>29052346First gen rav4 is closer to a tracker/sidekick than anything that came after, and is as such, the coolest rav4
>>29051314I love seeing these lil guys with lifts and trail tires. I should get an Element and pimp it out. Honda should never have stopped making them
>>29051159Do you feel dizzy or lightheaded because of that? Preying for your health anon
>>29051602>GX460>13-15mpgJesus christ, why would I go for that over a pickup truck?
>>29051602Or you could get a durango r/t for half the price and is also a port injected v8
>>29053689>get a 2011 suv>year is 2026 now>pushrod engine when japs have been selling twin cams since late 80s>zero updates since 2011>italian qualitylol
>>29051154I mean its a gay homo plastic box.Why does it deserve a thread?Im happy for you But why
>>29052356also you can drop a 3sgte in it for lulzit's also really light (iirc <1 tonne) so it goes pretty quick
>>29053699Toyota has been promising a new 2 liter turbo 4 banger engine to be used in the new-gen GR products but it hasn't materialized outside racing prototypes yet but they badly need to replace the aging-and-coarse 2.5L they use in most smaller toyotas and its 2.4T variant which is supposedly no smoother.
