I'm considering replacing the halogen bulbs with LEDs. I live in cold ass Nordics and have concern that ice might build up on the lights after the swap as the old bulbs also acted like 55w heating for the part. Does anyone here have experience with this?
these led lights create ~30w of heating and the fan blows it straight at the glass.

For the intent of not throwing codes or turning on warning lamps, those things are dumping a lot of power in a resistor. They hardly use less electricity than a normal one.
