Live in a pretty dense urban area, and i really really don't want to ride an E-bike everywhere since i've had the battery always die after 1 to 2 years every time without fail, so i bought a motorized Bike kit. Basically a chainsaw engine strapped to a motorcycle, 2 stroke with 40:1 fuel to oil mix.IT"S REALLY FUCKING LOUD, but performs literally exactly how i would hope in speed and range. But i can feel literally everyone around me wants to murder me when i ride it. anyone have advice for an issue like this? i know some people silence their dirtbikes or minibikes but is there any way to make them a tolerable noise level for like suburb areas?
A tuned exhaust
>>29051957Stop caringdo wheelies in the streetfuck emI see people doing this shit all the time with dirtbikes and quads
>>29051957Get a louder exhaust.
str8pipe that mother fucker and ride around smokin a joint and if anyone complains blow smoke in their face and rev it
>>290520022 stroke exhaust cans are the tuned exhaust. They rely on essentially the backpressure wave (think of an echo) to push the AF mixure back into the cylinder for full and complete combustion or maximum power. How some of the 2 stroke bike guys and Nitro RC guys quiet down the noise is essentially adding a very high flowing and minimal back pressure mufflers AFTER the tuned exhaust pipe. Adding a length of oversized diameter piping to a pass through muffler and whatever else you can think of. I already know you're not going to spend $200 on a decent motorcycle muffer and weld up some decent pipes, you'll just be self conscious about being the loudest thing on the road because you look like a poverty ridden jackass on his chainsaw engine bicycle.
>>29052012got any examples of this? sounds like a good setup, i actually have an old motorcycle muffler laying around but it's for a kawasaki ninja 500 and is way too massive for this bike.
There are aftermarket exhausts out there like Yasuni that have, I believe, a steel wool like material inside the expansion chamber to help silence it. The other issue is the intake. A pod filter will make it as loud as the exhause was.t. Yasuni owner.
Any aftermarket muffler is going to be louder than oem, I put a pipe on my Puch Maxi and it's quite a bit louder but actually has a powerband and helps out a lot on a one speed setup. In your case it doesn't matter and most of those kits are basically straight pipes.Being self conscious about being an asshole with blue smoke is a lot better than not giving a fuck or being a shitbag on purpose.dont worry about it, quieting it down is gonna require some fab and imagination. You could also try a more restrictive intake, a lot of noise come from there.
>>29052019>got any examples of this?I'm not googling for you: go search nitro RC car muffler quieter setups, and other 2 stroke quieter setups.
