My buddy found this honda shadow (no idea which it is if any of you can identify that would be great) in a tow yard. Been sitting for probably two years. I don't know much about bikes and have never worked on any but my buddy says he can get it for under 1k. Is it worth it? Will include more pictures

Probably about max $300. Find out the CCs, year and see if they have any specific ailments. Would be great if you could hook up a jumper box and see if it turns over. Make sure it's got oil in it though.YouTuber 2Vintage has lots of videos on bikes and he finds lots of simple things wrong with bikes and ATVs that he doesn't often have to buy parts for. Clogged petcock, plugged tank vent, nasty carbs, etc

I've got a 600cc. Great bikes as a base for a cruiser, they sound better than the Yamaha V twins. If you want to custom it up there's heaps of parts available.I think it would be silly to pay more than $300-500 for it given the unknown condition.

I'll let me buddy know to tell him about that and that its not worth close to the price of a working bike. Still not even sure what honda shadow it is. Googling it I couldn't see anything that matched
