As an American I would love the Focus TDi to come over here.

>the bad reputation has done its damage
This is a freakin meme, dude.
The drivers that this affected are non-factors now, or dead.

The manufacturers have continuously performed surveys, and Americans are too fucking dumb and ignorant; thus the manufacturers maintain a permanent NO as to policy.

They don't just roll the dice.
>>
>>29052743
I honestly don't know if this is trolling or a usual yuroslop opinion.
>>
>>29053278
the suits who make these decisions aren't in their early 20s, they remember bullshit flops like the bmw deisel continentals and the oldsmobile deisels and all the other failures.

My Mercedes and VW are diesel and are great cars. 700 miles or more between fill ups.
>>
>America banned diesel cars
What? There’s a 2026 975 ft-lb 6.6L diesel V8 parked about 20 feet from me.
>>29052743
As an addict, no, America does not sell opiates without a prescription. However in the UK and much of Europe you can get codeine over the counter no script and Japan sells dihydrocodeine on shelves in stores. The US? Uh.. we don’t have that.
>>29052767
Kinder Surprise are banned in the US. Choking hazard. I grew up in Germany and had them all the time, they’re illegal here.
Anything else I need to clear up?

That's a Work Truck, is it not?
>>
>>29053408
Sort of, I’m on a farm and that’s my dad’s but we don’t use it for real work much. The fucking golf cart and wrangler towing a flatbed are used much more.
It’s what he wanted though, who am I to deny a 76 y.o. his motoring dream?

Right on.

Should have pointed him to a good engine instead of jap crap.

Since when is a 6.6L Duramax made in Ohio “japscrap.”
I’m the only one driving japscrap around here.
>>

Yes Cleetus because you are so knowledgeable about the inner workings of cars. LMAO

>>

I just realized I might be the only person driving a Japanese car in my whole neighborhood. Avg price of a house on this street is over $2mil, it’s a lot of Range Rovers and turbo diesels. There’s a real bronco, my closest neighbor (Indian, dot, doctor) just bought some EV. Here I am in my 30 year old jap shitbox, and I genuinely believe I have the best car around. Someone’s got a 911 turbo down the road but it’s automatic. Sounds orgasmic when I pass by it.
>>
>>29052883
Old, naturally aspirated diesel engines were almost indestructible.
The turbo added multiple points of failure and emissions control finally made them shitty through EGR valves and SCR cats.
